This video introduces UK-market (UKDM) cars, never sold in America, which currently satisfy the US's importation rule that a car must be at least 25-years old to be privately imported. These British gems include the TVR Tuscan Speed Six, Lotus Elise Series 1, Ford Racing Puma modified by Tickford, Ascari Ecosse, and the beloved London Taxi or LTI TX1. From the EU, we've also included the Renault Clio RS, RenaultSport Spider, Volvo 480, and Fiat Multipla (Italy's Pontiac Aztek).

@@alecmillea4539 No. But Edwin from Car Throttle and Will have made their own channel called Top Dead Center. Search for "HERE'S WHY I QUIT CAR THROTTLE / OVERDRIVE!" and you'll find the channel. Searching for Top Dead Center doesn't bring their channel up, I don't think that was a very good name for a CZcams channel. Cool, sure, but not unique or algorithm friendly.
- Callum has no plans joining them, saying he's now heading in a different direction, I assume that means no more CZcams for him, but I could be wrong.

Did you not see the announcement a few weeks ago? It takes a lot of money to keep something like they had going, and sometimes it's just not viable.
Eddy did you not see the stupid project he wasted a ton of money and time on to drive a toy car on a fake track? The one that will never happen? It takes money to make these and the money comes from good content. They were making the money, this whole thing was just mismanaged.
Everyone has their own lives. Callum Is married and in his own racing series so doesn't have time for any of this and will is getting married and moved house so is no longer near them.
Lmao they did this 100% to themselves by managing money and expectations entirely the wrong way. They had a dynamic trio, almost akin to the top gear days, bantering away. They could've taken it slow, see where they where headed, instead they gambled, threw away tons of money on track days and expensive cars. It's honestly so sad to see this production be a shell of it's former self. Consider myself unsubbed untill you've brought back the crew and figured out how to make it work. But that's not going to happen after this drama.

I always loved watching the TVR Tuscan's when they had them on Top Gear. Bonkers cars for real enthusiasts.
If I did not have a Series 2 Elise I would certainly get a Series 1.

@@daveblock4061 You can, with the rover k-series. Its a much lighter, revvier engine that fits much better with the idea of the elise. The lotus ones don't suffer with the head gaskets so much either, but even if they do go, once the new uprated ones are in its a reliable, simple little engine.

Yeah, i think you missed one odd-ball, civic Aerodeck VTi, still love mine, but i find it weird that Honda decided to put a de-tuned B18C with LSD into a lower-mid class family wagon... Built in Swindon, not available outside of Europe.
Problem with British cars is they’ll be more rusty than Japanese as we use salt on our roads and they don’t in Japan.

I was once told not to even think about buying a Racing Puma by someone who worked in the marketing department at Ford GB. Apparently the sold very poorly so most of the 500 ended up being used as pool cars by Ford and they were absolutely absued

Love a TVR. i'd go for a Cerbera over a tuscan, purely for Gran Turismo Nostalgia. Also, clio V6? :-) mid engine insanity...assuming any are left that aren't broken.

Pretty sure TVR had their own engine(s) before the Tuscan, including the V8s in the Cerbera for example.

Pre facelift Multiplas have been driven to extinction, they weren't very numerous to begin with, and with the ugliest car of the world award definitely a becoming classic. Despite the opinions on looks, it was a really fun driving car, based on the bravo I think.

Had an 07-S for more than a decade as well. S1 looks amazing, s2 is great, but S3 is the one that takes the cars from quick to legit fast

FYI, the rover k series isn’t rubbish it’s just badly made. The design was well ahead of its time and big bhp numbers can be got out of it. It’s also light and revvy hence y lotus used it. I’m not preaching but the constant attitude towards it is a strange British only thing - like we hate people who r successful. Over seas it’s quite highly rated by those in the know

Driver61 is motorsport and Overdrive is just general automotive. Similar style content but different topics.
CZcams likes to pigeon hold channels to one specific topic. Two channels can be the better route.
Yes Overdrive used to do funny builds and challenges but it didn't work out financially so now they do this type of content.
Renault Spider is the weirdest car. It looks sporty but at the same time not.

Reg. the departure from the trio-concept : trying to do ' Top Gear ' without the depth of rescources of a big production and then being a bit too much all other the place with trying to do everything at once, with all the extra costs of fuel, possibly reimbursing people, time, equipment, insurance, repairs, paying for components etc while trying to stay on top of the CZcams-algorithm churning out videos non-stop ... is going to be difficult, plus any challenges and decisions in their personal lives.
And now even the original TopGear is coming to an end, so there might be some audience-fatigue or at least just no longer the profit possible, that it makes sense to do lots of real-world challenges, projects etc that incur higher costs. Doing content-videos based on experience and knowledge combined with easy to source material will be a better return-on-investment with limited rescources -
hope it works out & maybe there can be a trio-reunion at some point !

Do you know why we have the 25 year import rule here in the states? Because our autos are so garbage it takes us 25 years to catch up to a typical European economy car. We can't compete!
