    I often see those videos and I saw the video „what your game is missing“ too (as I was working out) which is similar to this video. An Im sitting here and the „little voice“ as you said is speaking to me all the time and I cannot really believe it that you are getting better faster like you said in the video.
    Its hard to describe.Its not that I don’t believe you, I (know) that that is probably the „best“ way to get better but if I would train less it just wouldn’t feel good. Or especially if I would take a break know for 2 weeks and just doing nothing I would explode idk..
    I cannot even imagine doing nothing for a week or even 2 weeks.
    Thanks for the video and that should not be a flex or anything to „show“ that Im training hard or whatever .

    All the coaches I ever had always told me that I look like the best player at practices but when I get in the game, I freeze up cuz my mentality is switched and I start to feel pressure in games. At practice I give 100% while having and playin around but at games it’s the exact opposite, I’m still giving 100% but I take it serious and try not to screw up.

    Man, I'm more of a hustler. At least in the Basketball gym. I get frustrated, when I don't get that much better, and the only result is that my legs hurt so bad (during quarantine, I was recovering and still am recovering from surgery, and I don't have the same durability anymore, that's the number 1 reason), that it makes the next practice even thougher to complete and even go to. I honestly love my weight room workout more, because I just enjoy it, and don't do it as much for the result of having a great body, but I enjoy the exercises. Right now, our Coach has us doing at some days 3 practices per day (I do almost every day I can 3 practices, except for Sunday where I don't do anything). I don't want to not go, because I feel guilty sometimes, even if I know I shouldn't do it and know it's the right decision. It's crazy, that the coaches don't realise that the best method is, 2 practices, 1 weight room and 1 skill workout. You can push yourself to the limit at these practices, and have energy for the next one after just a few hours. And they shouldn't do back to back practices, that sometimes last way over 3 hours. Especially at this age (I guess most of us are teen-agers) were we are still growing.

    I will take this advice gladly but I have a question. I practice shooting and finishing for 90 mins, dribbling for about 30mins, I lift weights/ workout for about 30mins, and I play pickup/ mess around during launch time at school. I take regular brakes and don’t do heavy lifting everyday. I won’t go out of my way to miss a family dinner or something important to do any of that stuff. I also have other hobbies so its not only basketball. And most of all I enjoy every moment of it. But I want to know is that to much?

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  Před 3 lety

      You generally only need to do 1 workout (or one full workout, 1 light workout) per day, along with 1 weight room workout per day (4-5 days per week), as well as your DeepGame practices 7 days per week. 1-2 scrimmages per week is usually good, too.
