    If you are wondering how to use your Cannabis trimmings like sugar and fan leaves you are in the right place! Though I do have another Cannabis Salve video; it doesn't have the full how to. Given that November is just after harvesting season, I wanted to share a month of Cannabis videos. In this video I will be teaching you how simple it is to infuse cannabis leaves into oil and make a wonderful salve. This is the most popular salve I have ever made! Check out all my other Cannabis videos!

    Thank you for sharing this video. I'm going to attempt making salve as I'm dealing with a lot of joint pain and neuropathy in my feet and hands. So swollen today that I have little to no grip. I know the salve works because I was given a sample a couple of months ago but the lady that gave it to me has gone ghost. 😳 I've got to try and help myself so thank you!

      @@HerbalMeadowsBotanicals --if any part of this plant could convince me of pain relief qualities, it's in the roots! It's awesome, it works so well and I'm planning on making as much or more, it can be cut pretty thin with beeswax without losing strength and bring up the viscosity of the creme. No taste or smell, works in just as fast as coconut oil, which means give it 20 minutes time before bed to soak in or rub in. So f&%$#@ awesome!

    • @crnkmnky

      That shouldn't be a problem. You would probably replace the beeswax with something else. I'll bet there's already a video about making a cream!

    First off, thanks so much for this tutorial, you are greatly appreciated!
    I was wondering, would it be beneficial to add more oil if I wanted to make more salve? Or is it best to keep the coconut oil to only an inch above the herb so that it is more potent?

    • @HerbalMeadowsBotanicals
      @HerbalMeadowsBotanicals  Před 2 lety

      If you need more oil then yes you would need more herbs. Flower is more potent that leaves so if your using flower you can add a tad bit more oil. If your using sugar or fan leaves I would fill just above the herb.

    Is there another ingredient that can be substituted for the beeswax?

  • @TourismThailandJournal

    Can I boil the leaf in coconut oil just one hour or do I need to wait at least 48 hours? To make it more potent or none toxic? Thank you

    • @HerbalMeadowsBotanicals
      @HerbalMeadowsBotanicals  Před 2 lety +8

      Hello! Please never boil your herbs. Herbal properties will remain in the plant if infused slow at a low heat. More heat will not speed your process. It will reduce or eliminate your medicinal properties all together. If you infuse on low heat 100-140 degrees for five hours you will get medicinal properties into your salve. If you infuse the whole 48 to sometimes even 72 hours you will get maximum potency but always on low heat. I hope this answers your questions 🍀🌿

    Don't know how you got your slow cooker to maintain 100 degrees. That is barely body temperature. Most slow cookers range between 164 degrees to 182 degrees on the low setting.

      Yes you can add any healing dried herbs you like, obviously take into account how they will act and wether they will change the colour to something you will like/something that is appealing. But yes absolutely you can!

    • @newfreenayshaun6651
      @newfreenayshaun6651 Před rokem

      Youre best off to sift your buds and melt your trichomes into your butter and NOT veggie oil. The veggie oil causes too much cloggage(yuk) in the system, inflammation. A half teaspoon of dry sift is plenty enough for a cup of butter, to each their own tho, if your a stoner, like myself, i put more than that for sure, a half gram is maybe a better measurement if you know pure hash... A pound of really good white widow or lemon meringue kush can render up to 100g of nice extract if you party right. Tell mom I stay high!

      The leaf will never offer as much medicinal properties at the flower but its a good way to use the leaves if your not using them for something else. Thank you for watching!
