if you read through the instructions, there is a part that shows adjusting the slide tension, adjusting the measure indicator, setting hight of slider for different jobs. that would probably make your work easier.

Yeah I adjust all that all the time. Have to adjust the height every time just to get it in and out of the box. Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy my videos.

I have the very same one, so far I like it but if I were to sell it, my next choice would be a DeWalt. Reason? DeWalt provide excellent service in my area while Evolution does not. If my Evo dies, I have to use the extended warranty. I had the same issue with my 5/8" bit.

Jose I agree 100% I like that the Dewalt has reverse as well would be nice for tapping.

I would choose the DeWalt as well. I can't remember the model but it also has reverse which is great for Tapping.

Why did you go with the 42 over the 28?

    • @tysoddjobs

The 42 is nearly 2" cutting capacity and the 28 is about 1 1/8" I plan to eventually build a tube notcher and would like to have the extra capacity.

@@tysoddjobs They used to have a 75 and 50mm model, sadly they killed that off. I would take the 75 over that. Right now i'm thinking its going to be CS unitech or Fein for the twist drill capacity. The 42 from Evo only handles 1/2".

I can't afford the Unitech but I would assume it is a fenomenal drill. For the $515 price point this drill has treated me well.. I have drilled thousands of holes with it so far with only minor complaints. I did run a 2" holesaw and that was a little much for it. I would love to try the unitech or really any variable speed drill. My latest project was about 238 holes through 1/4" and I had no issues. The case that comes with the Evo is rubbish. But the drill works great. Thanks for watching and participating in comments. What do you plan to do with your unitech? Fixture table?

It's definitely Chinese but, I haven't had any issues with it.
