    My Breaking Bad ICEBERG is finally here! Walking Dead Connections, the mandela effect and SCARY stories • ULTIMATE Breaking Bad ...
    In this video I breakdown and explain my ultimate The Walking Dead iceberg. An iceberg is a chart about a certain topic with tiers of popularity, with the things on the top of the iceberg being the more casually known facts and as we go further down the iceberg they become more and more obscure. With how much I already talk about The Walking Dead on the channel, just how obscure can these things be? Watch to the end to find out. From characters that left way too early after being promised a longer future in the show to the deep dark unknown areas of The Walking Dead universe such as the Vatos, the Lonely Walker Theory, what started the zombies, new walkers, France and Rick Grimes seeing the future. Enjoy!
    This is the first iceberg video on the channel! I'm going to start with The Walking Dead then Telltale's The Walking Dead and then Breaking Bad. Let me know your other suggestions down below, I'd love to do more. Let me know what you thought of this video! What's on your Walking Dead iceberg? What else should I have put on there? Let me know down below! Thanks for watching. I'll see you soon.

    Just ranting my thoughts after watching this. Behind the scenes twd did some pretty disrespectful stuff. Killing Andrea and Carl early when promised more time, etc. But, personally, I think the worst thing they did so far was when the failed to mention Rick in 11x12. Pamela asks Daryl about Dianna, and he goes into why he respects her so much, building up Alexandria for them from the start. But lets be real, without Rick, Alexandria crumbles. He did so much for all the Alexandrians, even everyone at the Hilltop, and they fail to mention him the entire time.

Add 30 years onto our age and its literally a child version of fighting other survivors. Walkers can ultimately be avoided. I never understood why they get split up or don't even have a place they'd all meet in the event of being over run. They just all happen to meet one by one and all head in the right direction by luck. I'd like a zombie show where people are intelligent in their survival and not their fighting.

I just did a BB rewatch a few months back and had the closed captioning on during that scene when Skyler discusses returning the Dodge Challenger. The dialogue appeared on screen as Glenn. Even though it’s not a glaring, huge thing, I take it to mean that the script that the production people provided to the CC company, ensured that the name was spelled the same on purpose-which is the less common way.

    Reminds me of six degrees of separation. The idea that you know someone who knows someone that knows someone you ran into before and everyone is only a max of six people away from everyone. With the characters on FTWD Daniel could have easily run into a character from TWD and he could not know Dwight was involved in his death because you don't talk about every person you have known or on the show, have "dispatched". Just like Negan and the Preacher have not mentioned Jadis and the Helo. You don't say everything that happens to you but things are so closely related and there are so many consequences if people shared. For Negan and TWD it would likely give Daryl hope as to why he could not find a sign of Rick. For Dwight, it may not be best to share with Daniel. People are always more closely linked than we think. Heck, maybe the scientists took some of that meth and made it into something else?

  • @easysleepbcn
    @easysleepbcn Před 2 lety +9

    Frank Darabont wanted to do 5 seasons of TWD, with less and longer episodes per season. Season 2 was meant to be 2-3 episodes at the farm, then another episode would have been a flashback episode of the guy inside the tank (from episode 1 season 1) which would have followed a squad of Army Rangers getting trapped in the city and trying to survive as Atlanta falls. The soldier in the tank dies and then after the soldier dies this squalid, lonely death, they would do a shot-for-shot reprise from the first episode of the first season: Rick comes scrambling into the tank to escape the horde.They wanted to include a group similar to the reapers in season 2 while searching for Sophia (I’m glad they didn’t). They also juggled with the idea…and that one is crazy…to kill Rick himself and have Shane lead the group. That would have been even more shocking that Ned Stark in season 1 of GOT 😱 Last one, Axel the prisoner from season 3 was meant to be a serial killer.

    The decline of The Walking Dead is tragic really. Frank's concept for the second season was a prequel to Season 1. He wanted to explain the beginning of the apocalypse and how the survivors got to know each other. AMC did not like this direction due to how big the budget would be. Eventually the creative differences caused AMC to fire Frank from the show and hire a new director for the series and ever since Season 2 the show has already started to fall downhill

    Good job, I enjoyed that. I was hoping you’d also discuss Toledo. Back in season 9, there is a shot of a tree with signs that read: “HQ”, “Oceanside”, “Alexandria”, “Sanctuary”, and “Toledo.” It was never explained why there weren’t signs for Kingdom and Hilltop, and it was also never explained to what the HQ and Toledo signs were referring. Then in the WB post-credit scene, the two French scientists discuss that some of the scientists were in Toledo when the apocalypse began. The man asked “Spain?” and the woman answered “Ohio.” This is weird as Toledo is not a major US city. It’s large, but by no means is it comparable to a very large city. Just for perspective, Toledo, Ohio has a population of about 270,000 people and is #84 in the list of most populated cities of the US. It’s just weird that it would come up randomly on both shows. It’s not like it’s NYC, LA, DC, or even Atlanta. Atlanta being important because it houses our national Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that we see in season 1. Whether they keep going with this or not, I have no idea, but Toledo being on the tree sign was weird and people thought we were meeting a new community, then nothing. Now, it’s being referenced in that WB scene as the place where a significant portion of the French scientists were when all hell broke loose can’t be coincidence.
    Thanks for an entertaining video!

    • @KillEmEarl
      @KillEmEarl Před 2 lety +2

      You have a flawed prospective of what a major city is, Toledo is the 84th largest city in the USA, to put the size of the city of Toledo and it's #84 rank in better perspective for you. I'll mention the fact that there are 1,177 cities, villages, and townships in the State of Michigan and only a few of those Michigan cities have a bigger population than Toledo, Ohio. Toledo has been a major port city in the USA since before the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Toledo is by all measures and definitions an important major U.S.city with a significantly large population when comparing it to the size and population of more than 99% of all other U.S. cities. At #84 on the list of biggest U.S.cities, it puts Toledo, Ohio in top 0.3% of biggest cities in the United States.

      @@KillEmEarl Thanks for all that, but I don’t have a “flawed *prospective* (sic) of what a major city is.” The emphasis of the word “prospective” is mine, of course because it makes no sense.
      If you read my comment more carefully, you’ll see that I compare it to LA, NYC, DC, and Atlanta (for reasons of the CDC only). I really don’t care how big Toledo is compared to all the cities in Michigan because it serves absolutely NO PURPOSE. It’s still #84 in size, which I included that number for those outside the US, so there was some context that we’re not even speaking about a city the size of Indianapolis (which I could get on board with calling a major city). The reason is to point out that Toledo is not a major metro area that one would expect to be relevant and be brought up on two separate TWD programs just because they’re big-like one could expect from NYC, LA, etc. Toledo may be a large city but by no means is it some huge, major city.

However, if they aren’t planning on concluding his storyline with Michonne/Judith, then what the hell was even the point of the show? From the literary standpoint, he just disappears in a very unsatisfactory way. And after Sadiq’s stupid death to the god-awful whisperer plot line, that basically ruined Carl as a “sacrifice for the greater good” death. Rick and the gang are all still in the lineup before Negan and Negan whips the bat over towards Rick from his right, the viewers left causing blood to spatter on the right side of Rick face. They showed the lineup order earlier in the episode, and Abraham was 2 people away from Rick on the right, but I knew it would be Abraham because the person in between Rick and Abraham was huddled over most of the time, while Rick and Abraham sat roughly on the same level as each other.

    I'm really glad you brought up how they do say Zombie in the Comicverse.

    I’m pretty sure Left 4 Dead existed in The Walking Dead’s TV universe. Glenn made a comment about Portal in Season 2, both Portal and Left 4 Dead were made by Valve, so Valve exists in both shows.

    about the breaking bad and the walking bad timeline theory I like to think that in an alternate universe, breaking bad and the walking dead are in the same timeline, and the better call saul continuation is its timeline with the breaking bad universe alone.

    The Sam witwer zombie isn't a days gone Easter egg. He was supposed to have his flashback scene in a later season that showed his character up to the point of him getting surrounded while in the tank. But they scrapped that idea because of the early director that left with dale

      Yeah, that one was one helluva reach to pad the video. AMC robbed Frank and Sam of that prequel season

    2:07 In the comics (not just the video games), ppl like Glenn straightup calls them zombies for a few times. more times in the beggining than later on.

    BTW Sam being a zombie was suppose to be a spin off according to himself.
    He said he was gonna have a spin off where they would do flashbacks on Atlanta and show how he ended up in the tank, Director changed after season 1.

    One thing that's constantly repeated is that 'zombies' do not figure into the cultural dynamics of the TWD universe. Whatever may be of the comics, the TV series however clearly has some undead monster as a cartoon cut-out figure in Season 4, Episode 1"30 Days without an Accident" as Michonne and the group stake out a supply. She sees the cut-out and slashes it down. Granted it merely said 'Monster', but its clearly a zombie.
