Thank you for this video. I am almost a year into IPP. I have a boar and two gilts, both due in April. I have not registered as a breeder yet but planning to do so soon. Question: how much and what are you feeding the sow? Thank you
Congratulations on your Idaho pasture pigs, we just absolutely love ours! I aim for about 4 pounds of feed per adult pig. This is a mixture that I soak over 2 to 3 days switching buckets every day so it’s fermented which also increase the protein and vitamins. The mixture includes a non-GMO/non-corn/soy mixture of cracked peas and a mix of other stuff(natural Farm Feed is the company) as well as barley, mixed with sunflower seeds and a vitamin mineral mix (wolfkill) I also do a LOT of vegetable scraps. These pigs are meant to eat 80% pasture/greens. Enjoy your IPP journey 😍 Also, when your sows deliver, you want to increase there feed slowly over about two or three days and give her an additional half a pound per piglet. 😉😀
Great work
