I'm torn between getting the DFI Non Tunable or Truthear Zero. Comparing the price and sound quality, which would be more worth it? Thanks!
Amazing Review! Although I need to know, is the Standard (Non-Switch) model tuned the same as the default "DDDD" tuning on the Switch version? I'm planning on buying that Standard one but I'm a bit scared that it may not be of the same quality or is vastly different to the Tunable version.
No they are tuned differently.
@@Practiphile So you can't replicate the tuning of the Standard version using the Tunable version? What setting on the Tunable do you think closely matches the Standard versions tuning? And do you think they're using different drivers? I'd use your graphs on squig but you only have DDDU setting graphed for the Tunable version.
@@mordecuckoo9415 i will compare the three.. zvx, and two d-fi's.. im still figuring out the overall tonality of the 16 signatures of the switch version.. 😅
KZ shot themselves in the foot releasing the tuning version of this imo. My non-tuning version is my best set by a country mile. It’s honestly end game.
Yeah the non switch is better for me.. 😅

Does this version have more Bass than the Wan'Er or the Tunable version? Judging by your graphs this non tunable version has 2-3 db more bass than Wan'Er or is it a measuring error?
Most of the Graphs from other reviewers with all switches turned on at the highest Bass setting in the Tunable version, the Wan'Er still measures more bass or is close to the level as the D-Fi 🤔
Although it's hard to conclude whether this is better or worse than the Tunable D-Fi cuz you're the only reviewer I've found thus far to have Graphed the Non-Tunable D-Fi.
Im still figuring out the right calibration because the bass on my graphs doea not correspond to what i hear. I will upload the new file once i am ready for my final vid.

@@roundabout9452 yes i will upload a comparison. Anyhow, to answer your question about the bass on wan'er, sometimes its not about the level of bass. You have to take into account the level of treble as well. Since wan'er has tamer treble, bass is perceived to be more pronounced.

8:15 Does that mean your graph didn't work or wasn't accurate to what you were hearing? KZs advertisement said the standard is tuned to low bass setting but your graph looks about the same bass as the ZVX. Have you tried regraphing it to make sure it was accurate? or maybe using different tips to measure? Youre currently the only reviewer to graph the standard version.
It has something to do with calibration that time.. defntly this does not have the same bass as with switch.. akros also reviewed these and we have the same impression
@@Practiphile That's weird. I just saw Akros review and graph it looks like the standard dfi has more bass than ZVX and switch version? But in your graph it has the same amount of bass as ZVX and more treble. So if I wanted to use AutoEQ on standard dfi is it okay to use the switch version with max bass setting? If only there were more graphs of standard dfi on squigs to compare to. Akros doesn't upload his measurements on squig, and they don't seem to be that accurate either because he uses Wide boar tips instead of foam or medium boar to measure iems.
@@chetbrunsteen8613 okay i will regraph mine today using foams.. im pretty sure d-fi switch has a deeper dive at 6k compared to non switch.. or my switch version could be a variation. One thing is fo sure, the non switch is better for me. And prolly it has something to don with the switches' impedance affecting clarity. Im not sure, but could be..
@@Practiphile Oh I thought your existing graph of the dfi were already measured with foam that came out of the box. Yeah the 6k dip on the switch is definitely present in every other graph I've seen. What's weird is that Akro's graph had less ear gain up to 3k on standard while having a flatline up to 6k making it identical to the ZVX with upper mids, while also having more Bass than ZVX. Although this may be the result of using Wide boar tips so i don't know.
@@chetbrunsteen8613 akros' graph is hard to read coz its a little stretched. But ye i know what you mean. I usually post graphs that resembles the most to what i hear. There are many variables. The tips being used, the dac being used and the mic input. Thers also coupler differences.. so yeah, pretty hard to tell.. 😅
even his price is the most neutral and best?
I have not heard all.. its not the most neutral, but i feel it has one of the better resolution in the price range
What is the difference with and without switch?
You can choose to have lesser bass with switch version

Compare the sound with zvx
Zvx is closer to linglong. D-fi (no switches) is cleaner
