What's the difference betwen this and the KZ castor ?
A little late to the table on this one. Just bought the DFi ( non tunable ,l think) on AliExpress for about $9 Canadian! I really appreciate your sense of humour. Well done review!

If you can’t afford a simgot ew200 or a zero red these are pretty good.
Using now my new DIFI, best foamy black tips from all.. also have ZVX foamy not that good different, CCA CRA+ is POP NOISY ARTIFICIAL AND EDX PRO CHEAP TO TRAVEL not enough compared but better than cheap sony, mac etc .... Now I love the DIFI clean and neutral with nice bass... sounds like a SHURE MONITOR... warm... ZVX have tested many weeks and is amazing for ROCK, PUNCH... LOVE TO PUT SOME EQ WITH HUGE BASS FXSOUND APP... and can take all punch... is not that clean but ROCKY POWERFU.... now is my first day with DIFI.. amazíng for videos, movies music... to find details with punch.. LOVE DIFI TO HEAR AMAZON HD MUSIC ULTRA.... NO EQ... improves everything... ZVX for rock punch or games intense but with EQ... CCA CRA for pop or new music sounds little artificial but damn POWERFUL.... DANGEROUS FOR YOUR EARS... GO FOR DIFI .. HAS NICE FOMY AND THE RED TURBINE TIPS LOOKS AMAZING..
D-Fi is great value.

Dfi is a good iem imo, same with zvx.
yes they have the pr2 and the cca duo double the price and double resolution but tuning not my thing

mate gotta share you a funny thing about the PR2. I cant assure 100% but, something really interesting happens with it when you invert it's polarity. I have a dac, and used to run my pr2 on it, bc it sounded trash directly on my smartphone, but pretty decent on the dac, beating all my other IEMs, but I always felt it wasn't its trully potential since my dac isn't really a high end one. Tho, after inverting the polarity... the sound became simply unbeatable when plugged DIRECTLY on my smartphone. I have also a kz zs10proX and some other cheaper IEMs, [they're really good IEMs, and used to sound way better if runned directly on my smartphone compared to pr2 since it was nothing better than a 10$ iem when directly plugged imo, and now somehow none of them can even come close to the pr2 sound quality after the polarity invertion]. It gets a little bit of treble reduction due smartphone power input limitations, but the soundstage, definition and bass extension somehow gets 500x better. It can be an "isolated" event, but it's worth the try since it basically ends with a little of the treble issue without really getting rid of the micro detais and staging. It can get even better with some EQ adjusts to match your preference and sound quality improvement as frame durarion increasment to 250ms, but honestly it's already unbeatable for me even without all of that.
I would be grateful if someone test that polarity inversion and tell me if I'm just an isolated case that worked for me or if the pr2 really gets rid of that much power input needs when reversed. Even after days I still cant believe on how better than any other IEM i ever heard it becames DIRECTLY plugged on a smartphone. Usually my zs10proX would ERASE the existence of my pr2 if directly plugged, but after the polarity inversion the table has turned and my pr2 erased the zs10proX to me lol

Great review! This is gonna sound crazy but I got 4 of the ZVX, one D-Fi, and one EDX PRO X for less than 5USD each on Aliexpress. Excited to try them all, keep a couple for myself and give the rest out to family and friends.
are the zvx and d-fi the same? I heard they use same drivers, but d-fi has tunable switches .
@@georgepierre3594 DFI Has one with switches and one without. The sound is supposed to be similar but a little different. I have ZVX which is great. I modded it and now it's even better..
@@razgriz4977 yeah that bundle deal they have is great. They raised the prices but still good. I got ZVX $4.50, EDX Lite $1.79, EDX PRO X $3.50, AK6 Pro $3ish. How is DFI compared to ZVX?

Kz is killing the industry. Period. Smart people should realised expensive doesn’t mean better. As an example The Kz edx pro is price for less than 10 usd and impressed many of my professional musicians. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I can't support KZ after all they've done. My first (and only) pair from them didn't have bass. This was when they were having all those driver connection issues but I didn't know that and since it was my first iem, i thought it was some weird audiophile tuning thing and didn't return it. Then I got the OH10 and damn near rattled my fillings.
Well, not being harsh but if a company like KZ cared about support they wouldn't have did all they did. Honestly, I don't care, since with "fake" configurations or not, they dont sound any bad and are one of the most affordable brand at least here on my country, if not the most. No other brand has such variation of good IEMs at 10-30 dollars like kz. Not saying there aren't good 10-30 dollars good Iems of other brands at that price range, but usually the brands have like 1 option with a single DD and nothing else really "exciting" (not talking necessarily about pure sound quality, but affordable sound experiences) . I see kz as a big "experiment lab" so they have a big lab were they experiment many different "exciting" configurations, then sell'em at e very low price. If they get a good respose, they use that configuration to bring something more "coherent" under the brands CCA and some others KZ has the hands on. Kz always have been about bringing a vast amount of excitement and experimentation at a very low price range, then using the results as knowledge for next experimentations. I mean, they already did many good IEMs, and also many where the "experiment" failed miserable. They started trying to be less experimental and more coherent, then started to experiment several driver combinations trying to keep those experiments under determinated price relation, so they could offer newer technologies at lower prices for those who cant afford a 50$ iem with the same configuration. Even tho, recently after the "fake" configurations experiments (that weren't really fake but just poorly thought), they reduced the focus on bringing everyday a new experiment and now are being more focused on offering the best sound experience quality, over quantity. They haven't missed a single shot on all their last IEMs released. Ofc, the PR2 has brought some polemics due the changes they made to the IEM in comparison with the release version, but... the price also went down with the changes, ppl seem to ignore that fact (it started around 50 dollars with v1, I bought the v2[or prolly a rumorized v3] under 32 dolars]). You can't ignore the fact you have a brand trying to create an affordable true planar experience currently under 35$, of course there will be problems and wont sound perfect, but it simply tops all under 50$ planars, including cca pla 13, kz pr1, pr1 pro and the celest SPDs being the cheapest amongst them. KZ honestly diserves a "second change" from the community, since there are no other brands that focused on bringing high end experiences to low budget consumers. I can see some brands like TRN giving a good amount of attention to low budget consumers, but honestly, they can't compete against this "new Kz" stage.

No bass on a kz? You sure you had a seal?
@@Hijynx87 yes, I had a seal. I used a few different tips including foams that worked in other iems.
@@vimieeeee More drivers have no impact on sound if the crossover circuit is not done properly and kz have no crossover design making them worthless . Do you buy iem to show off the fake non working drivers that don't have any impact on sound or for listening to good quality music other brands in the same range produce good quality sound that's enough kz is just worst .

@@Hijynx87but that soundstage. I know Dfi/ZVX are more accurate sounding but Krila has that fun factor (done tastefully) which you cannot really find in this price range

Kz is bad. I tried the dfi and zvx. And I won't buy a single thing from kz ever. Naming is purposely confusing. Brand sketchy. Poor quality control. My zvx left unit is defective grizzling sound and it got worse. For short so I don't write an essay buy tangzu or simgoat
Bad? Both dfi and zvx has very good sound and build under 20$. I choose zvx over any other iems under 40$(simgot ew200). Also i bought maybe 20+ kz iems. They did some scams with drivers, their namings are bad, qdc is a problem but none of driver died yet. I think their qc are good. Maybe you got unlucky.

I'm never buying KZ again either. They've done too many shady things and can't get the basics of quality assurance to be redeemable.

D fi has a little less bass and is more balanced.
