  • This is a short fingerstyle arrangement of Beethoven 'Ode To Joy' played on a Yamaha LL16D ARE. This is a great guitar that covers everything. The audio is being picked up by a Audio Technica AT2020 that is getting the sound of the room.

Nice clean technique you have. Sounds great on that guitar. I’m confused about this guitar. It says handcrafted but the sticker inside says made in China. I watched a video of the China factory and they’re hardly what I call handcrafted. They had a machine cutting out maybe 10 bridges at once. That’s not handcrafted imo. Is there a shop in China like Japan that makes them by hand or is cutting 10 bridges at once with a machine actually what they consider handcrafted?

This is the luxury line of Yamaha so it is handcrafted, but in China. The video you saw for standard Yamaha series . The LL36 is handcrafted in Japan.

I like easy strumming. When I strum easy I get to that calm place I seek. I post in 2020 during this pandemic. Many are posting parodies, often accompanied by some guitar work, why is everyone strumming so hard (corona anxiety?) The Yamaha LL16 will be my first "upgrade" guitar(beginner was a Yamaha FG830, pretty big upgrade for me). Oh room acoustics. Most of my beginner practice was done outside (I am sure this was appreciated) Practicing outside may make the people around you happier but outside acoustics does not allow your instrument to shine.
