I've heard you mention that a low-carb diet can be healthy, but a whole food plant-based diet can also be very beneficial. The latter often includes 60 to 70% of its carbs coming from healthy sources like beans, chickpeas, lentils, rice, and quinoa.
The authors of one study claim to have found that C15 (an odd-chain fatty acid found in whole-fat dairy) can provide the same benefits that rapamycin can; and possibly even more.
I take Rapamycin and believe that dietary protein and calories can activate mTOR, but I don't want it activated it because that works lessen the effects of Rapamycin for autophagy. So,, I fast 36-40 hours when taking Rapamycin.
Great information again! Do you know anything about Raoamycin for ME/CFS? It’s hypothesized that it is an autoimmune disease with autoantibodies against m. choline receptors. Maybe it has potential
In answering the question about dosing of rapamycin, my understanding had been that you advised taking it for 10 weeks, and then taking a break for 6 months or more. Is that still the case?
Hello, thanks for the Q&A - I haven't seen much regarding the use (or cessation) of rapamycin during conception, pregnancy and whether or not long term use would affect/influence sperm health or epigenetic factors that may be passed to offspring either through the sperm or egg (or both). Is there cause for concern with no turning back if an individual starts rapamycin prior to starting a family or is there data from transplant patients suggesting that it is not much of an issue?
Did you delete my comment about the paradoxical inflammatory reaction that some people have had from rapamycin, and my question about it's effect on the immune system, particularly in someone with a preexisting immune dysregulation (from Covid or the vaccine)?
In reference to Matt's comment about double dosing at 2 week intervals vs single dosing weekly and "not noticing any difference:" I single dose weekly (since January) and I haven't noticed any physical effects of taking rapamycin. But I do believe the science so I won't quit it for lack of indication. I guess I'm simply advising that you shouldn't necessarily think there will be some evidence of action. For me there is none.
Rapamycin did all those wonderful things for those mice in cages, but please disclose what it did to the fast twitch muscle fibers of these mice. Not the muscle mass but what happens before the loss of muscle mass, dynapenia. Rapamycin speeds up dynapenia. Muscle mass means nothing if it isn't quality muscle. Rapamycin may protect muscle mass but it destroys the quality of the muscle tissue. Gold standard longevity intervention in who? Not humans, that's for sure!!!!
at which doses and frequencies? In the best case for each I would say Tobacco is worst, because a single glass of high quality red wine once or twice a week arguably shows some benefit, whereas there is not way to consume tobacco which has any evidence for health benefits. Some people argue in favour of low dose nicotine gums, but I think that's dubious, and it's not really consuming tobacco.
Dr Brad youtuber is literally starting a human Rapamycin trial today.
I had excellent results taking it for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. I hope to have a positive report in October.
Great episode, I liked the term avoid overengineering if data is lacking.
Another banger! Hoping the algo spreads your work far and wide.
Could you guys (both of you) please, PLEASE share what a day of eating looks like for you 🙏 (PLEASE)
We eventually will! Also will go into our other health routines such as fitness and sleep.
@@nicholasarapis ahh thank you 🙏 you both look incredibly healthy, so whatever you’re both doing you should share it with the rest of us 😅😊
Thanks!

Can the public finance the research on people? Rapamycin vs atherosclerosis? Rapamycin vs CKD? etc

I’m taking both 😊
You should probably talk to the NZ doctor youtuber starting a Rapamycin trial..
Thanks for another episode. Just saying: I prefer the previous intro.
thanks for an interesting episode. Could you please look into Mitrochondria transplantation?
I am wondering are there some rapalogs that would be use as a supplements for humans instead of rapamycin itself?
Meclizine

Could we build a computer model of the human body? That way every cell and tissue type could be monitored for best results before human trials.
Is there a synergy with taking Rapamycin while on water fast?

What symptoms do you have that you thought rapa would improve?
@@mikespector2 No symptoms. I take it for longevity

Do you know of any doctors in Australia, NSW, who are up to date with this research?
Matt what dosage of niacin should I take to increase Nod levels ?
Can i take lysine to prevent canker sores that you are more likely to get when on rapamycin?
Lysine is only helpful for herpes sores, not for rapa sores.
Is Matt’s change to bi weekly dosing permanent or temporary?
Does azithromycin have the same benefits as Rapamycin
The intro feels like an epileptic seizure
What is more detrimental: Tabacco or alcohol?
Great question for a future Q&A! Added to the list - Nick

Hi Matt, Why do you take 8 MG. Rapa, rather than the usual 5 or 6? Are you large?
Some of the studies on mice used much, much higher doses (relatively speaking).
I would like to be your next dog 🐶 in your research ❤ I’m up for adoption, joking, but seriously when you need a human guinea pig….
😄 "I want to be your dog" always sounds great.
@@jozefwoo8079 😳 maybe I should reword that. 🤔
@@lucycooper55 Nah it's fine, we know what you meant. It's just fun to make a comical spin on it.
