I know you didn’t write the script, but that ending gave a funny idea for a sequel where the listener gently stalks and finds her, just because the listener to be with her and have her be in charge. The speaker on the other hand, is interested but is extremely anxious due to the stalking feeling like she’s on the run again and she can’t be sure if she can trust the listener.

I think if the level of her crime were low enough, and the stores the cops need to check were numerous enough, it'd be fairly reasonable to poke your head into a store, see nothing amiss and pop back out again. And it'd be extra hilarious if she's just dodging mall security or something.

I suppose the only remedy would be for the clerk to simply be more vigilant in the future, keeping her eyes open around odd customers and practicing self defense techniques at a gym.
