- In this video, we're going to be talking about our recent winter RV camping trip on the Oregon Coast!

We stayed at the always great Nehalem Bay State Park which is one of our favorite Oregon Coast State Parks due to it's proximity to so many great towns, hikes, restaurants, and breweries.
Nehalem Bay State Park is a beautiful park located on the Oregon Coast, just a few miles south of the charming town of Manzanita. The park is situated on a 4-mile long sand spit that separates Nehalem Bay from the Pacific Ocean. It is a popular destination for camping, hiking, fishing, crabbing, beachcombing, and wildlife watching.
The park covers over 800 acres and features a range of amenities, including campsites for tents and RVs, yurts, a horse camp, and group camping areas. There are also several hiking trails, including the 1.8-mile Bayview Loop Trail, which offers stunning views of the bay and the surrounding forests.
Nehalem Bay is known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with a variety of fish species available year-round, including salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon. Crabbing is also a popular activity in the bay, and visitors can rent crabbing equipment at the park.

Wow..........I was working my way along the Oregon coast in my Lance about the same time you shot this video. I even stayed at Nehalem State Park like you did for three or four days. I like that trail that goes around the airstrip...........it's a nice short hike and the view of Nehalem bay is excellent.
Favorite movies while RVing..............Real Genius, Goonies, The Long Long Trailer and Citizen Kane. Casino is also good but you want to make sure you shut off the outside speakers before you play that one.....

Oh some of our favorites as well especially Tombstone. Can’t go wrong with that selection.
Adding Nehalem Bay to our list. We usually stick to Beverly Beach.
Both are fantastic. We’re pretty lucky to have State Parks so close the beach.
Maybe we should stick to watching movies instead of trying to make them. 😂😂😂

When I was on the Oregon coast we went to see the half sunken ship called Wreck of the Peter Iredale. It’s got a pretty crazy story with due to Erosion over the yrs that ship has become exposed. You guys did a great job with the point break reenactment. I remember when I was a kid that movie came out great movie!!! When your in camper watching movies you gotta watch goonies especially if your in Oregon lol. My go to movies are usually Major League or tombstone!!!
Man you and I are more and more a like. Maybe we’re brothers from different mothers. 😂. I have probably seen the Goonies and Tombstone 100 times. Classics for sure.

These are very informative episodes. We will be visiting the Oregon coast the Summer of 2024. All coastal reservations are made but waiting for the window to reserve Tumalo and La Pine which are of course on the eastern side of the Cascades. Your video quality is excellent. What kind of camera are you filming with? Thanks for doing these!
Thank you. Appreciate the kind words. Tumalo and LaPine are great as is the Oregon Coast. Most of the video is with my iPhone believe it or not but I also have a Nikon Z6 and some DJI drones. Use a GoPro every now and again.

Hi Lori. All of Kim's waterproof gear is Columbia. We both have the pants which work great. I have a Patagonia jacket that I got from REI. That is a very high end rain jacket that I bought as I am in the elements a lot especially with my photography. Here are a few links.
