Intro/Comparison
the first main difference between the siesta and zero 3 high chair are the seat covers.The zero 3 seat cover comes in either vinyl or eco-leather while the siesta comes in eco-leather only. You can definitely tell the difference in quality by feeling the eco leather vs the vinyl seat cover. the eco-leather seat cover feels more comfortable in my opinion. Although the vinyl seat cover is a lower quality version of the eco-leather the vinyl seat cover is still easy to clean.
The second difference between the siesta high chair and the zero 3 high chair are their trays. One is clear plastic while the other one is not. so it's very clear that peg perego used a different kind of plastic for the prima pappa zero 3 tray. although a different kind of plastic was used for the zero 3 tray. From my experience, I still find that it's still easy to clean and wipe so there's no difference in functionality between these two trays. another thing that I found about these trays that nobody is talking about is the location of the release button for the trays. so this is the peg perego siesta tray. As you can see the release button is located right at the front.
so it makes it easy for you to insert or for you to take out the tray when your baby is finished eating dinner. for the zero 3 tray. The release button is located deeper inside the tray so if you have little hands. or if you have smaller hands. You could have a hard time releasing the tray or inserting the tray.
One big difference is that The siesta can move forward and backwards but cannot naturally move left or right without turning first. The prima pappa on the other hand can turn all directions naturally So when it’s time to eat and you want to adjust the high chair to get a snuggle fit, you can easily move the zero 3 while you have to reverse the siesta to get a snuggly fit.
the fourth difference between the siesta and zero 3 high chair are the adjustable height positions.
The Prima pappa zero 3 has 7 levels while the siesta has 9 levels. (Video shows high chairs at different levels).The extra levels for the siesta gives parents the flexibility to adjust the siesta high chair for the perfect fit at the dinner table while the prima pappa zero 3 high chair is more of a standardized fit.
the siesta and zero 3 high chairs have a 5 point safety harness system.The difference between the siesta and the zero 3 high chair is that the siesta has a quick release button. while the prima pappa zero 3 does not and requires you to use two hands to release the straps. the prima pappa zero 3 has a aluminum frame design. This makes it lightweight and easy to move while still making it stable for your little baby. the siesta on the other hand has a much stronger and sturdier frame. this sturdier frame is what makes the siesta heavier than the prima pappa zero 3 at 24 lbs vs 17 lbs for the prima pappa zero 3. the siesta also comes in siesta ambiance which replaces this plastic frame with premium wood for an extra $150.
the siesta has a rubber compartment in the back for you to place your bibs or napkins. This helps you remember where you put your items and you can immediately grab them when you need it. the prima pappa zero 3 has a bare back. so I recommend that you place items nearby and at a place where you can easily remember where to find them.
the next big difference between the siesta high chair and zero 3 high chair are their prices.
for the prima pappa zero 3 high chair. You can expect to pay somewhere between $249.99 to $349.99 dollars Canadian. the siesta on the other hand starts at $349.99 to $499.99 dollars Canadian depending if you choose siesta or siesta ambiance.
The final big difference between the siesta high chair and the zero 3 high chair is the siesta's stop and go braking system versus the zero 3's rear wheel braking system.
The peg perego siesta has a patented stop and go system at the top of the high chair. You simply slide the switch to go and slide the switch back to lock the front wheels. The zero 3 on the other hand has rear wheel brakes. Parents have to bend down to lock and unlock the wheels which could potentially increase the chance of transferring bacterias.
Pros/Cons + Recommendations + Ending
Best review video! Very helpful. Zero 3 also comes in eco leather and the 5pt harness. You can use your big toe to lock and unlock the brakes but it is easier with your hands and the all the wheels swivel 360 deg. It's slim and lightweight. Definitely zero 3 is the better option and i just got mine today 🙂

Great review and comparison of the two. By the way, the Zero 3 (with eco-leather version) now has a quick release 5 point harness as well. You can use just one hand to open, just like the Siesta :)

There is a huge weight difference, and size of chair when folding and storing. I personally like the Zero to 3!

Thanks for the info! I just bought a gently used Siesta for my 5 month old for only $60 USD and was wondering the differences because I also saw a Z3 being sold for over $100 USD. I thought perhaps the Z3 was roomier but I see that the seats are the same width. It's good to know that for such a great price I still got the better quality of the two models. The only con is the front wheels not being 360 swivel but the other features make up for it.
Unless the lighting in your video is deceiving the one I bought is actually identical to yours in the color 'Cacao'.

I got the siesta but the fact that it doesn’t move around as easily as the zero 3 is a big downer for me… have I had seen your video before I bought it, I would have gone for the zero 3. I went for the siesta because I find it beautiful, but the front wheels kills it all for me. I actually don’t even understand why peg pèrego didn’t put 360-turning wheels in the front 🤯

I have the zero3 and i have no idea how to clean the straps... They seem to be bolted in and they're turning brown from how much avocado and banana my daughter has smeared on them no matter how much I scrub them!!!
Siesta ambience is not wood!! It is just a wood print!! You can get wood grained stickers for $10 and get the same effect without spending a 100-dollar premium

Don't get the Peg Perrego. It will not roll on carpet. Asked Peg Perrego to help and they wouldn't and now we are stuck.
