Yes, Ren makes music, by he is beyond that. He is also a performer, poet, director, and producer. You can see the drummer looking to him to make sure he connected to Ren regarding the morphing beat. At one point Ren slows down the beat for ‘Hip Hop’.

Ren has mentioned in interviews that as he was developing his singing voice he realized his tone matched Sting's pretty well and he is hugely influenced by both Sting and the Police. He has also said that the busking session audio from each instrument went into iPhones. He worked meticulously to get the audio capture to what we have here. He said it was a labor of love and is happy that these performances are preserved for others to discover. Thanks for reacting to the Reniverse!

I have seen Ren and The Big Push perform live many times in Brighton and it is never less than magical.
Same performance, their cover of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” Ren’s bandmate Romain Axisa goes off on a little guitar solo. 🔥🔥🔥
What's nuts is immediately after this performance he did War Pigs. (Which is a must listen to)
My absolute favorites from him outside of Hi Ren are Ocean, Losing It, and Calk Outlines (live, without Chinchilla)
And then after War Pigs, they did Paint It Black, another epic cover. And in the same show they did their superb original song Watch Out. What I would have given to be there! Better than most 'tier one' concerts I've been to that have cost upwards of £100.

My brain is blown away by all Ren is doing. Video Grapher. Raps, sings with range. Writes music. He .makes his own videos. Produces. He is wise beyond his years.
He brings struggling artist up to the public .he answers and does interviews with reactors. He is well aware with what made him famos. Yesterday he started a go fund me type of thing for a young smart reactor. He remembers where he is from. His reactor interviews are so open and awesome.
I can't believe that he is able to do this while being sick 10 yrs. Mis diagnoses killing his ammune system. Now finally 10 yrs he is being treated for Lyme Disease. I have tried to find flaws in his music and videos. But I can't. He is so very honest and humble. No way to box him to any genre. Look my kids think I too old to be a fan but there's no words. Deep lyrics trying to help us as humans. ❤❤❤❤

I agree...Ren is music. Look at all the very different performers he performs with, he delivers something different to each, but he is the glue that makes the performance whole. As he says in "Hi Ren", he is a genius.

Reggae is a big part of British culture so it's not to strange seeing someone like Ren sing in that style, some of the best reggae singers of all time was signed to UK labels back in the day. One of the most iconic British reggae songs is Pass the Dutchy by the Musical Youth from Birmingham.
This. I think most US reactors don't understand how deeply reggae and ska is embedded in british music culture. Because of the windrush generation in the 50s. We are one.

Bob Marley and Sting and The Police are some of Ren’s favourite artists! He has a well rounded understanding of music all types and is great at all of them! He is the most exciting Artist I have seen since the 70’s hands down!

Black Pegasus did an interview with Ren, he talked about his musical influences and mentioned Sting and how reggae was big in the UK when he was growing up. It’s a great watch.
The Big Push also does a cover of "Wade in the Water". It shows more of different vocal ranges in the group. EVERYONE of them is mad talented!

You can't go wrong with Ren - every new song I discovered became a new favorite on constant playback Hold On, Ocean, Life is Funny, Humble, Dominoes, Depression, Insomnia, Penitence, Everybody Drops, Diazepam, Fire (early, but awesome rock song) - the list goes on and on - I love love them all! Also, please check out the Big Push originals - Watch Out (live) Dignity, Sweet Little Lady (live acoustic) Precious, All My Heroes - so, so good! He just doesn't disappoint, only uplifts or takes on emotional journey!

Ren is an ARTIST, that's the best way I can describe him. However, everyone in the big push are super talented artist as well. Romain (Dude with the black guitar) makes some really good music as well.

It's crazy how good he is at so many different styles. His rapping, his singing, he can do reggae, his story telling, doing rock stuff like Black Sabbath Warpigs, and his insane guitar playing. Some of his music videos are the best story telling I have ever seen.

I remember years ago, Philip Philips on American Idol would move his whole body when singing/playing guitar and I think it was JLo that said it was like the music was like electricity flowing through his body. And watching Ren (especially when playing the guitar at the beginning) you can see his whole body feeling every single note. And it reminds me of that comment. I never forgot it because Philip felt like the music to me rather than the cookie cutter pop stars they usually had on the show.
