For sure! Ren doesn't worry about that, that's why we love him.
Ren cares about getting bigger, any artist would. If he didn't he wouldn't ask people to share his music, sub to his channel or write things like "Also pretty cool that every single song release since Hi Ren has hit the CZcams trending page!" on community posts. Of course he wants to remain independent though but independence â not giving a shit about getting bigger. There's nothing wrong with wanting to grow your audience anyway.

Barrington Levy was huge in the UK. Under Mi Sensi was on repeat throughout the 80's & 90's and Here I Come was equally huge, playing a massive part in the UK rave scene as it was remade with Rebel MC and Tenor Fly into the legendary "Tribal Base" which got played by SO MANY back in the day. The UK has a very close connection to Jamaica and Sound System culture - it is basically what influenced our own rave scene in the late 80's onward, evolving into Drum n Bass that people know today

Hey, I think it's SO GOOD that you took the time to splice in that bit of Levy so Ren fans can see exactly HOW CLEARLY the title line of this song is taken/inspired from the reggae song. Hope it brings at least a bit of attention to Levy from a new stream of listeners who might not otherwise have checked him out
edit after watching the rest of your video - no, but seriously. I'm still choked up and teary-eyed that you put the Levy clip in. In my mind, I imagine that Ren would be moved, too. It was such a simple touch, but you went out of your way to do it and idk, everything about that moment in your video just felt so *right.*

I think Sony must br crying for not keeping him signed... Ren's music knowlefge runs the gamut from Medieval music to Rap. A fan of Nate King Cole, Nina Simone, all the jazz and fusion artist as well as rock pioneers. We have such a mix in Ren the well runs deep.
There is something so magical about Ren's performance in this song! When you mix a good beat, crazy rap skills, a buff and good looking Ren, catchy lyrics, cool bars and rhyme schemes, energy and did I mention the pig chauffeur, you end up with another brilliant music video! Love it!đ

Ren titles his songs how he wants to, with no concern of who might be offended. He doesnât care what CZcams or record labels think, his songs will still be heard as they were intended. Thatâs an artist!
Yeah - definitely not hurting him, is it? People need to stop worrying about being "canceled" and do their thing. Those that don't defend against it (Bill Burr is one that springs to mind - love that guy) keep plowing because the majority of people don't care. Don't give the radical, vocal minority power.
My view is he doesn't care if he gets censored for a title, he said suicide 30 times in that song and I'm sure he did that 100% intentionally to prove a point!!! Sure it will lose him views, but I honestly don't think he cares, he releases what he wants on HIS terms!!! 1 million subscribers agree with him and that number is only gonna get bigger!! He throws the bird at the system and breaks all the rules and is succeeding as well!!
The important thing is his songs are about problems that exist right now, and the problems have names that need to be spoken openly, not hidden, and openly talked about. If subjects such as suicide and murder cause triggers, then maybe the triggers need to be met face-on. As you say, thereâs a million-strong community here to face these problems down with.

Great spot on Barrington Levy. Ren mentioned it himself on his Twitch stream after the premier. This is a total bop, that beat, the scratching giving it that sampled sound - I straight listened to it about 8 times after it dropped.
Thanks for that Barrington Levy observation. I'll bet you are 100% correct! That's why I like his work, because all of the artists that I really love have a deep wide range of influences. If your only influenced by the guy you're trying to be better than, or only the genre that you play, then you will never break boundaries. No shame in influences. No one is truly original. We all get it from someone before us. We just breathe new life into it. Even the brick and mortar of the buildings we live in come from the the land that was here before it.

0:52 Since it dropped I have been wracking my brain on that "Murderer" vocal, and trying desperately to find it in my music collection. I went wrong thinking it was King Tubby, and was looking through everything. I would have gotten it sooner, but I also remember it being sampled in a few oldschool UK tunes at the time of transition from Rave into early Jungle (Pre-Drum & Bass era), so also squandered time in that way. Oh, how my mind can travel. I didn't pin that reference down in between the time of my initial hearing/watching, and your reaction. I guess I'm getting old.
But, I did take time to enjoy some forgotten records in my search, so "no complaints", as you say. :)
