Jose Hoebee (on the right in this video) and Bonnie Saint Claire (of Unit Gloria fame) had an arrangement worked out with ABBA where they would sing ABBA songs in Dutch to broaden their exposure. Worked out well for all concerned.

Que bellas chicas eran en esa época muy naturales y con gracia, con una bonita puesta en escena que incluía tanto una modesta coreografía como agradables canciones en un formato europeo de proyección internacional que era de buen gusto, moderadas, femeninas, alegres con gracia pero sin ser vulgares, incluso hasta una de ellas era latina creo que mexicana y las otras dos si no me equivoco eran holandesas, pero daban un fresco y agradable show en aquellos años de finales de la década de los 70s y comienzos de los 80s, su gran hit internacional fue en el año 1978 con su tema "Troyan Horse" que las hizo famosas.

Part of the key to the huge success of Luv' was that every element of their delivery was technically impeccable, but they never compromised heart. Combine that with their relentless optimism (after all, they are singing here about a long term liar who cheated on them) and those larger than life harmonies (every time they hit that power chord on "You go your way, and I'll go mine", it just absolutely DESTROYS me - wow!), and you have a mission statement that worked not just on Casanova, but also on You're The Greatest Lover, Ooh Yes I Do, Trojan Horse and all of those other sublime singles they did. For my money, Patty, Marga and Jose are as good as it gets in that genre. Absolute, utter perfection. .

It didn't really matter what they sang about. Their audience in the 1970s did not really speak enough English to know what the songs were about, and the lyrics were really not really matter anyway.

petra de vries if they sing live good i dont now. i guess. patty brard easy i dont think so. but i really do believe after 3 years hard working i can understand that it wase enough. they told in intervieuws travelling in so many countries 7 days a week performing etc. not only in the netherlands. many countries. perhaps a lot af money i dont now. i grew up with luv. the music it makes people happy. i liked the songs. not everything. it is sad after so many years that they not talking to each other anymore. i think marga scheide and José hoebee are still friends i dont now. but still it is sad.but that is life. but it is nice that we have internet you tube etc. we still can see and hear them. their where also two other women involved for patty brard. chimene van Oosterhout. and someone else. i dont now her name anymore. but for me the real luv patty José and marga.
