Falcon 22' Catamaran - Factory Tour and Sea Trial! Big Boat Ride in a Small Package!

  • The US saltwater boat industry has continuously evolved since the 1960s. Runabouts turned into small single engine center consoles which turned into mid-sized, twin engine center consoles which eventually became MONSTER triple, quad and even quintuple engined, 40 plus foot CCs.
In the early 2010s, spurred by the cult-like success of Freeman Boatworks, larger catamarans became the rage. And although smaller builders had been around for years (Caracal, SeaCat, WorldCat, etc.), the big trend became 34' plus Cats with prices that start around 1/2 million and can easily eclipse seven figures.
Enter Falcon Marine - a company that has been in existence for 30 years, but decided only a few years ago to start building their own small catamaran.
This video takes you through build process of a Falcon 22 Offshore hull followed by an on the water walkthrough of the 22 Offshore culminating in a sea trial on a very windy day on the Indian River in Central Florida.
    Hope you enjoy!

I am amazed! This guy is the Elon Musk of boats. IMO This guy is amazing with his thought process and is probably making one of the best boats ever built. Kudos to your interview skills. One of the best videos ever! You did a great job! You had to pull teeth with some of your questions and I am sure Doc would be proud! 😁

If you’ve shopped around recently, you know a base boat at 130k is an excellent price point… this boat has more room aft of leaning post (where it matters most) than the costa 264 and double the room of the 23’ Tideline… not to mention a top tier build quality… the ability to work with the builder to custom option them out (sky’s the limit) from 130k is nice as well.

SHOW ME the materials list (minus the outboards) because I know there's nowhere near -- in materials and labor -- what you're charging for the boat, especially if you're using a hull mold built by someone else.
