    I am seeing the tree woth the golden apples as a situation, where everyone is only telling you what you want to hear, so before your eyes everything is golden and super beautiful, and that is all you see. And having kind of fallen asleep to that golden, magnificence. It’s the same as Snow white having been given a golden apple that poisoned her, but since it is beautiful it still calls to be had and tasted. It’s a warning when you see and get beautiful things, everything is perfect and “don’t worry about it, it’s fine”.
