  • In this video, I show you (hopefully) how to replace the belt on this Walkman, it’s super easy and by the end, you’ll love it even more cause you fixed it yourself. They are super cheap, it’s fairly compact and it has a radio, it uses regular batteries and the belt is also super cheap,.
SIDE NOTE: I notice that it's easier if you start opening the case starting on the gaps of the player's keys

Thanks, I bought one not that long ago. I’m a little disappointed that I ended up with multiple scratches while trying to open it, but I guess there isn’t any easier away around it. It took a little while but if you’re gentle and know what you’re doing it pops right off when opening it.

Cool instruction, thanks! What was the diameter and length of this belt? I found the same walkman and it's belt was just so decayed so I even could not measure it

thanks for the kind comments. you can purchase a "cassette square belt kit" on eBay, they range from 15, to 30 to 50 belts or more and the kits are pretty cheap, from $4 to $10 depending on the seller, same thing as the ones I used in the video I recommend buying from a seller in the US with a 100% positive feedback, you just need to try a few belts until one fits and test the sound. hope this helps.
