The woman crying at the end pretty much summed up what the majority of people in Liverpool were feeling. Our city has been incredible this past week and I hope we did Ukraine proud 💛💙
You did! We Ukrainians are grateful and emotional about all this support 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦 thank you 🙏🏻
Yes,you totally did!Thank you so much for support❤️It's really important for us❤️
Not just in Liverpool.. I'm in Malta,🇲🇹 and still crying reading these messages.. 😢 so touching!
You did it so well, Liverpool be proud! //Sweden
Absolutely incredible💙💛Ukraine so glad we made you proud! Liverpool my city I’m proud of us all coming together!
Highlight of the entire Eurovision 2023. Duncan's vocals, the choir, everyone in unity, footage from Ruslana in Kyiv. It was nothing short of beautiful perfection.
THIS is why we *love Eurovision.* The culture richness and unity is more than any other event is creating.
Unfortunately it is not about music anymore.
@@Suckit180 It has never truly been about music, babes. A real Eurovision fan knows that.
@@Suckit180 why unfortunately? It's so much more than just music. It's about emotions, coping, having fun and for most bonding of Europe. 🌍
Up until the voting begins 😂
@@egel7736 its more of a freakshow.
The high moment of Eurovision 23. Liverpool, who used this song to express solidarity in its own moment of sorrow and struggle, now sings it for and with Kyiv
It's always dragged out in mawkish sentimentally for faux oppression.
@@adamgrimsley2900 Knuckledragger says what?
@@adamgrimsley2900 and? better than it being overused like Imagine.
Partly incorrectly. As it is song by a Dutch person. He picked it as because of several things, the fact it is YNWA, it is sung by/in Liverpool and by Feyenoord, club his grandfather and father like.
@@LoCoAde87 you didn't understand?
I watched this in bomb shelter. I’m crying and wanna say We so appreciate you for support and your big hearts ♥️ 🇺🇦
I understand it may not always feel the most evident but always please try to remember that there are many people all around the world who support your country 🇺🇦🇳🇱
♥️
❤🇺🇦
U sure? Women and children were evacuated, it’s only men left?
there will be peace when russia defeat nazis. without nazis ukraine people will be free
The best three minutes in Eurovision history which i remember. Laurence was amazing, song was chosen perfectly, message was right, Ruslana singing from free Kyiv was unbelievable. From first sound i knew that i will need tissues. So touched, so emotional. Well done, really well done Liverpool. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE UKRAINE. I am Lithuanian and this words are not just words for us.
Went into last night as a Eurovision skeptic and walked away "getting it" for the first time. Seeing representatives of all these different cultures coming together like this was beautiful.
Thank you for being open minded ❤
❤ 🎉 welcome 😊
Duncan finally got to perform as an interval act for Eurovision. He wasn’t able to do it in 2021 because he tested positive for COVID.
I'd forgotten that. And Dadi Freyr finally got to perform on a Eurovision stage
Exactly!
@@jennifermcateer1689 I yelled when Dadi showed up haha. I was gutted when he didn't get to perform (and win!) in 2020.
That's what he said....
A lot of the Dutch people who are able to think for themselves know not to trust what he says by now, even then there were many doubts... but fan-sheep will always believe what diva Duncan feeds them as truth 😂
@@blackscorpion65 gozer tyf gewoon een keer op met jullie complot theorieën
I’ve never cried at Eurovision before but this is why Liverpool hosted - this song is perfect. It is emotional to everyone who hears it, it is a beautiful song. You’ll never walk alone ❤
Como española es el himno más bonito del mundo, tengo que ir a Liverpool a escuchar ese pedazo himno
Now THIS is what Eurovision is all about. Sure, there are pyrotechnics and silly costumes, but in the end it’s a celebration of friendship, diversity and music. We come together each year to celebrate and support each other and it means so much to so many of us. ❤
I got choked up when everyone held hands and came together. How could you not feel deeply touched by this? After all Ukraine has been through/still going through. Ukraine 🇺🇦 we are with you, always 🫶 🕯
Yes, like the Palestinian people are going through so much for decades. Ah well, Israel can sing at the ESC. Such double standards. Sad.
😢🫶
Well done UK, well done... Amazing solidarity!
Liverpool*

How lovely; your mum's a treasure.
Thank u brother❤
God bless your mommy, sir 🙏🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧 !
Liverpool Ukraine and the UK put on a great show for eurovision.loved it.congrats from Ireland
A truly magical moment. Liverpool's own anthem of pain and strength, resolve and hope sung and shared for the people of Ukraine. A heartfelt message of support and solidarity. Always remember, not only are we by your side, but also be sure that every hand in Ukraine is held by one in Liverpool, so there is never a need to walk alone. X ❤️
A beautiful moment. Slava Ukraine
As a person studying in Liverpool and getting to experience all this, I cried when he, one of the best winners, sang this. Couldn't be any happier.
Goosebumps when they walked on the stage. You will not be alone Ukraine!
♥
I don't think there's a better feeling in music than when the entire crowd is singing along with you
This is why Eurovision is so special. I'm Australian. One half of my ancestry is Ukrainian and the other half is British. A great coming together. Peace, love and happiness to all.
What a superb performance, and poignant message. Reminding us what is really important, while representing both the people of Ukraine, and Liverpool beautifully. A real highlight of the whole show.
Eurovision shows how Europe can be united. Beautiful
No - half the euro members are corrupt. And ukraine is a nazi state
i've never cried so much on Saturday night.
A couple years ago, just in eurovision 2021 week, I was going through the worst period of my life. Mental health issues, an affair and I lost my father the same time. I know this isn't anything compared to how Ukraine is going through, but it really hit me in my heart. Being with with eurovision family meant the world to me, and I had the best week of my life in Liverpool. YNWA Ukraine
❤
Hope you are alright 🤍.
Bless you 🥺🙏
Probably the most touching, symbolic and powerful interval act in the history of Eurovision. Absolutely wonderful, and I really hope putin saw this❤ Slava Ukraina 💪

This was the best song of the night by far. This spine-tingling rendition is immortal. It inspires people through their difficult moments .... at the end of the storm there’s a golden sky ... well done Liverpool ... YNWA .... greetings from Malta!!
Just went back to this act after a year and it's quite literally crushing how everything's changed. From the highest point of being united by music to the mockery of those words. I miss the eurovision loved by people, created by people and for people. I miss acts where leaving the audiences mics on only enhanced them enourmously, I miss Eurovision filled with love.
So symbolic ❤ thank you world from supporting Ukraine. Because all of you guys we still fighting and still strong.

So many reasons for this to be a finale number. It brings home the fact that we all stand with Ukraine and what a wonderful tribute. Just beautiful to see all these performers for the occasion 🫶🏼
God, I was in tears at this. Never have I watched Eurovision as a blubbering wreck. This was incredibly emotional and moving.

I was so glad Duncan got to be back on the Eurovision stage after missing his home Eurovision performance after contracting covid in 2021.
I am proud of this performance, fantastic ! Stay strong Ukraine
What a song. What a city! WHAT AN EVENT! Thank you Liverpool for an incredible evening. Thank you Ukraine and the people of Ukraine for your incredible strength. You will never walk alone♥
I loved how the crowd sung it for most of the time
It’s not often I cry, but I couldn’t hold back the tears during this performance.
Surely I cannot be the only one who got goosebumps at 2:10 seeing Ruslana and the others? Well knowing that Ruslana was there in 2014 on Maidan and has been a symbol of Ukrainian courage and perseverance ever since! It was a heartfelt song, but it gave me tears, tears of hope. Stay strong Ukraine!
If this doesn’t bring a lump to your throat, nothing else will. Absolutely stunning, and the image of watching all the hosts and singers walking out onto the stage to join in, plus the audience in Liverpool and Ukraine all singing along was simply incredible. Bravo Liverpool, what a show you put on.
My goodness, if I would've been from Liverpool, I would be so proud right now. Your city did an amazing job of hosting this unique edition of Eurovision. Lovely greeting from The Netherlands 🎉❤
I was screaming at my tv for this, it perfectly captures the spirit of liverpool. Great city, great people.
I cried my heart out watching this from Malta 🇲🇹 .. what an emotional moment!
It gave me goosebumps. If it was a competing song, it would be the first time after approximately 10 years, i would vote for a song again.
Edit to add: Liverpool - UK you did an amazing job organising this song contest
The best ever!!!

@The Ident Marathon That's the thing about helping (in whatever way we can), giving to & caring about others, it makes the giver feel good as well as the recipient. Hateful, mean spirited people don't realise what they are missing!💗
@@minskysfeedbackyianni1302 Right? Being a dick just makes two people miserable, whereas helping somebody makes two people feel good. Then think of it on a larger scale; which one makes more sense? It's simple maths.
@Squid Ink Yes, agreed. Being decent towards others makes life easier for all of us, it oils the machinery of life. Though I think we should still always call out wrongs & not make excuses for them, that would just makes us complicit.

When you walk through a storm,
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm,

Though your dreams
Be tossed and blown.
Walk on. Walk on with hope,
Hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone.
