    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
    KC and Momo decided to rent their beloved large home and move into a tiny home to manage the finances for their new business. Their business, Momo's Michelada Mix, is an upcoming and fabulous mix they make, bottle, and distribute through Farmer's Markets and personal orders.
    The main living space of this tiny home is where they store most of their supplies alongside a large couch, cat castle, and mounted TV. The master loft has low ceilings but suits their sleeping needs with extra storage space. In the kitchen, you'll find a full-size fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer, and a mobile island they use for additional food prep counter space.
    Momo and KC are extremely friendly and love the community this tiny home is stationed in. If you live in Austin and are interested in a Tiny Home, KC helps facilitate tiny home resells! Feel free to email to the address linked below!

    Hey guys this is KC and Momo the owners and we just wanna help clear some confusion. We love our tiny home a d our community and its been fun learning how to live tiny. What you see as complaining is actually us trying to be helpful in a humorous way. This interview was nearly 3 hours long and it was alot of fun, but the humor wasn't conveyed quite like the day it was shot. We would love to answer any questions about micheladas, living tiny, life, love...you name it. Again thanks for checking out our tiny tour.

      I didn't take it as negative at all - pointing out items someone wishes were different or unusable is not being negative, its being constructive and simply pointing out a negative in design or situation so someone else can benefit vs a negative attitude. I think people have become way too sensitive. Your presentation was wonderful. Thank you for opening up your home to us. LOVE your yellow accents. Your house is gorgeous and you seem like a delightful couple. Wishing you may joyous years in your gorgeous home ❤

    I wish there were more tiny home communities in Canada. It’s extremely limited and heavily regulated. There are some old mobile home parks and some seasonal communities where people can’t live more than 10 months at a time. This community looks really lovely.

I also decided on a vented combo W/D so I could have a pantry above it, and found a small 3.5 cu.ft. chest freezer for the bottom of my hanging clothes closet. It works well. My dining table is 2 steps away from my kitchen, so I sometimes use it for additional prep space. Thanks for being straightforward about the differences with Tiny living. Like the portable kitchen island for more prep space and storage. Living room much larger than most tiny homes. A loft in which I cannot stand up would not be for me. Agreed that open barn door for just 1/2 of the closet and the random outlet indicates builder’s poor planning. Stacking w/d is a necessity. Thanks for this entertaining tour. The wall in front of half the closet might mean it's a load bearing wall. Also, the outlet might be handy for plugging a vacuum cleaner in. In that instance, it's temporary, so the closet door blocking the outlet when open isn't an issue.

That way the kitchen island can stay in the middle of the kitchen floor and the deep freezer can go up against the wall next to the washer and dryer. That way it will allow lots of counter space and space for my frozen food and space to wash and dry and fold. Just a suggestion, you do have it looking great as it is now.

  • @SusanSlattery
    @SusanSlattery Před rokem +4

    I agree on the one bathroom thing. We have a smallish ranch house with ONE freaking bathroom and we fight over who gets the toilet. I always look at these lofts with king sized beds and wonder "how the hell do they change the sheets?" I enjoy watching alternative things and tiny house videos, even though I personally could never do this. Just my hats and shoes would fill a tiny home. My clothing would fill another. Our kitchen is small and old, with cabinets that are one year younger than me, and I'm 58. Even rooms we've redone already need to be redone. Like our tv room, we need to remove the "bar" and the pellet stove. After we put these things in, I quit drinking, our social circle shrank due to people dying or moving away, and we have a leather couch now so we cannot blow the pellet stove heat directly on that expensive purchase. It's very tight everywhere in this house and not enough storage, and certainly no "smart" storage, like in the couch or under a mattress. We have box spring under our mattress. We live in an area where all the housing stock is super old, built in and for another era. Not enough electrical outlets. Around here it actually is MORE expensive to build a one level home (my dream) than it is to build a two story home. Most of the homes in this county are not meant for aging into. One level living, that is my dream. My house would have 2.5 baths, a GYM for my treadmill, universal bar, kettlebells, weight bench and so forth, it would have a garage, a den, an open floor plan for the kitchen and living room, I would NOT have a dining room, and there would be two bedrooms, a huge walk-in closet for the aforementioned hats, shoes and clothing, radiant heat, central air, and a GENERATOR. Seriously I want to build a house for climate change as well as any other coming apocalypse. 95% of the homes in my county don't even have a window AC unit or a freaking ceiling fan. In the listings under Cooling: NO DATA. Give me a break. We need to build homes for the uncertain future. Really, I would love to build underground. Can't imagine what that would cost.

      Oh and another thing I have a TON of: skincare products, makeup and Sunscreen. Listen I buy this stuff from FRANCE and when I buy it I STOCK up. I have about 30 sterilite flip top boxes on a rack to my left as I write this. One is full of Toleriane Dermallergo Cream, my body and face wash from France fill other bins, and a few bins have a bunch of Korean sunscreens. Facemasks, you bet I bought five million of those, because remember before you couldn't even find them? Yes, I have silk, some from All Birds, a bunch of N95s, but now I just wear the basic black KN-94 masks that I buy in bulk on Amazon. I have at least 40 bottles of my HG SPF which I buy direct from France and believe me it will be long gone before it expires. Another thing I notice when I look at Zillow... No one has bathroom storage. When I was growing up, both bathrooms had built in cabinets and closets. Our one bathroom has a large shallow closet, which could never accommodate folded towels or extra sheets, but it now holds a bunch of turntables: Bug stuff, Hair stuff, Face Stuff, Makeup stuff, Makeup brush cleaning stuff... I could go on and on. My one level home will have more storage space than actual living space.
