Cringy indeed! I’m still baffled by the photograph of Shel Silverstein on the back of The Giving Tree. It’s kind of frightening! I think you dodged a bullet. I just have to share this. My English professor was obsessed with Stephen King. She was 18 when she found out he’d be a few hours away at a book signing. She and a friend made their way to see him. She approached and was immediately overwhelmed by his strong body odor. He was also very intoxicated. To top things off, he was very vulgar towards her asking her to come with him and do….things. 😮😮😮. She said she still reads his work, though her idea of what he’d be like was shattered. I just found your channel and it’s wonderful!
