    I adore how he reenforces the difference between attractiveness and marketability. Sure, he could be "brutally honest" and a jerk, but instead he's upfront about career success without tearing down people's self image. There's beautiful qualities in everyone, even if they're not walking in NYFW

    • @CorpKitten
      @CorpKitten Před 2 měsíci +5

      @@manuelp7472 you're correct. It's the unfortunate truth of the modeling industry as it stands. Are people beautiful in their own way? Sure. Do we, as individuals, find certain people more or less attractive, sometimes outside the expectations? Yes, of course. But the harsh truth about modeling is that it's a very narrow market that struggles to accept people with atypical features.
      This guy has the tact and charisma to be honest without being cruel, which is a rare talent.

I always think people will be able to gauge my age just my looking at me, but I get such a wide range...and it’s also really cool to see what race they are and their guess. I was born and raised in Honolulu, so we don’t see race quite like our compatriots ‘cause you really can’t tell what people are here...24.2% of us are mixed race, compared to 2.8% in America, 4.0% in California, and only Oklahoma 6.5% and Alaska 8.2% are over 5%. Case in point, my friend has blond hair, blue eyes...and she’s 1/4 Native Hawaiian and can speak Hawaiian fluently. Hehe. Anything, thank you again for your opinion. I hope u and ur ohana are staying safe and healthy during this pandemic. Love and aloha from Honolulu! 😁🤙🏽❤️🌈☀️ (just symbols of Hawai’i)

      To be BRUTALLY honest (key word: BRUTALLY) is usually just a code word for people who use that term to be fucking assholes to other people.
      Usually people who label themself as „brutally honest“ say stuff like „LMAO WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE THE GIRL OF THE RING IN THAT DRESS“ - „YOU LOOK LIKE SHIT TODAY“ - „WHO GAVE YOU THOSE PANTS? GRANDMA??“
      All of these can be interpreted as jokes if they are said BETWEEN FRIENDS but in my experience, both irl, from other people and from stories on the internet is that brutally honest people might say those things to anyone, even people they barely know or have just met, not just friends.
      Hope that cleared it up.
      Edit: of course not everyone who says they‘re brutally honest are like that. Some just give genuine criticism which is „xy looks good, but it‘d look netter that way“ or „xy doesn‘t fit you, try zy“. But I‘m not gonna talk about a small percentage in a huge majority.

      just learn how to deal with different types of people, he does it REALLY well. The way he introduced himself or says hi, the way he keeps attachment or eye contact, his posture and focus and the time he gives people, the types of compliments, all of these are tailored specifically for every person he encounters and makes all his interactions seem very comfortable and easy to watch, which means he is a very likable person face to face. you can be like him with practice, you just need to talk to a lot of people and encounter a lot of different types of personalities. This will most likely give you confidence as a result too
