- When we learn to sing, the role of our lips often goes overlooked. In this video I explain why lip movement is important and I will give you my favourite exercise for lip training and pronunciation. Mastering proper lip movement can truly elevate our singing, making it not only better but also more effortless.

For developing my voice

Cool! Thank you Natasa. Your videos are fantastic,!
Thank youuu 🫶🎶
Would be nice to add some video analysis on actually singers. Maybe poiting out do's and don't and your opinion why certain singers sang the way they do.
That is a good idea :) Maybe I will plan a video like that for the future :))
This ia a really good exercise. Thank you!
Glad you like it! :))))
Where should my tongue be ? When is it best to breathe? Thank you!
Hi Dayne, thank you for your question. The most important thing is that the back of the tongue is relaxed and that it is not pulling the tongue back. Most singers hold a lot of tension in the back of the tongue (you can check out my video about tongue - czcams.com/video/0XPwKTH5ie4/video.html ). The position of the tongue apex depends on the vowel and pitch. Tongue needs to be active & relaxed at the same time. Try to play with it. Put it more front and more back and listen to the sound of your voice. Explore what tongue position gives you the best and most opened sound.
What do you mean about your second question about breathing? :))
@@natasanahtigal24 Hi Natasha, Thanks so much. Yes I saw you video on the tongue and it is helping me already. ..another question: I have lots of trouble with breath control. I always seem to just blow it out my air right away in a big relief blow but and have to keep breathing almost for each word? I think your videos are so helpful. Thanks again.
Hi Dayne, I am planing to do a video about breathing soon and I will explain your question. :))
