- The JP-8080 and its more keyboardy brother JP-8000 is was a game changer when it came to creating electronic music and especially the genre of Trance.
As I suddenly had one available I wanted to try and recreate some classic trance tunes and see how close I could get just by using the factory presets.
Hope you enjoy it :-)

Thanx for the video. I know its al lot of fun jamming around with the JP8080 especially when you love Trance music. I have the JP8000 and i play it almost every day😊
Thanks for the kind feedback :-) Oh, I´m jealous of you as I would have loved to have one of those. Would surely play with it all the time as well :-D
You certainly captured the feeling. I can see the silhouettes of dancers packed together under a strobe in a warehouse now.
Thanks a bunch for kind words :-D Was hoping they sounded good enough for to be used in a real setting so that was really uplifting :-)
fanatstic lots of goodie stuff here
Thanks a bunch for the feedback 😀
wow! amazing!
Thank you! Cheers! :-)
I have this one at top of my rack. + Akai Z8, Waldorf Rack Attack, MAM MB 33 II ... Roland JD 800 ... Thank you for these tunes!
Sounds like you have quite a nice setup there, shure you can make lots of goodies with that :-) Thanks for the feedback :-)
A good trance track never fails to make me smile! Maybe I can recreate (or even create) some with the help of my old Virus C.
I jealous, would love to have my hands on a Virus C :-D Im quite sure you can make some really good sounding track with that one. Don´t use hardware that much but found it really inspiring to play around with it now so kinda hooked....hehe
Some new songs (to me) to check out nice work!
Cheers mate :-)
That´s amazing i glad work on colaboration with you but i use FL Studio...regards!
Cheers :-) Haha, Im a Logic guy but sure that FL is just as good (if not better). All good :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic well done if you prefeer i can work in a one remix from one of your tracks regards.
@@CBSoreidemusic ima cubase guy but wish i started with bitwig, nice sounds!
cubase is awesome, i'm happy with it, just to make clear i just just wish
i'm gonna dig up my jp 2080 for sure :-)
The volume pot must be a common problem, Ive had two of these both with the same fault, its a cheap fix though.
I´ve read about that that several places and if you had two of them then yeah, guess the synth is way past its expected life span of certain parts :-) But i´m just borrowing it so for me the tiny piece of paper does the job for now 😅
Hi where can i get the midi for all these ?
thanks
Hey there! Most of the ones here I made myself which is why their not all 100% correct 😅 Some i´ve downloaded ages ago, don´t remember where. But if you google specific trance song titles + midi i´m sure you´ll find lots of remakes that can be downloaded :-)
