I would love to see an update to this fabulous project. I think, of all these shows I've seen, that this house is in the top 3. I love how much Kevin enjoys going to visit them. He seems to really respect folks like these, that put so much of themselves into building their homes. Excellent!❤❤❤
This is what we originally wanted to set out to do, but life got in the way. Cheers for Simon and Jasmine for being able to plod on, along with their mates ate Lammas to prove it is not a pipe dream. In our 60's it's a little late to start, but we have our bus that we will be making our home soon, so in a way I guess we have taken this type of path. Good on you Kev, for having such the good fortune to do this job.
In a world where everyone seems confused about where they are going, it is nice to see those who have found their path. To have built their home with their own two hands, and the hands of others, brings so much meaning to the word home. Would love to see how they are doing now. Wishing their family a wonderful future. I love that this couple brings practical and realistic vision to their life on the land, not just simple romance. The quality of the build is as good as things we've seen on this show that cost hundreds of thousands more.
This is true luxury in today’s mass produced, industrialized world and it is not possible for most of the 8 plus billion people of this planet. So to call it “sustainable” is a bit deceptive.
I admit what these people did was admirable but it isn't practical for the vast majority of people. How on earth would you house the millions of people living in housing estates with something like this? Sadly, the couple lost their house in 2018 in a fire.
