What a loving and positive couple. I live in the states in a very small country town and , even so, our beloved wild-haired water manager with only 3 toes on one foot, would have know that there was a broken main somewhere! Somebody let this couple down and as a result cost them over $150,00 on unnecessary concrete piling and pipe work into city sewer! Didn’t anyone think to test the water for additives (ie flouride)?

ok that low window in the kitchen is just ridiculous - the view is stunning, but you have to get a rolling stool to work there.

You don't have to worry about the rain, just about the spiders!
The Australian branch of the eight legged federation is a species apart

Re water. It's a good thing these IT execs have more money than common senses.
    1. Not once did they measure the flow of water, even though all that needs is a 5 gallon bucket and a timer.
    2. Testing the water early on could tell if it's from a spring or from treated sources.
    3. They were addressing the problem nonchalantly but should have realized the problem could not have been going on too long or else the previous structure would have sunk.😢
Contractor and hydrologists got a free ride. Such a shame. But the lesson is: project management is task specific and it would have been more cost effective to let both partners continue working normally and hire a professional.

The outside is interesting but the structure blocks the view of several neighbors. The inside is all lost opportunity for the view. Strange window choices.

I am surprised they didn't take more advantage of the surroundings, the house comes off very dark.

Maybe it's me, but such a house from scratch onsite would be a more economical option. Trucking such large components, over so many miles and hiring cranes from far, with personnel traveling and staying over night😢

I'm a big fan of modern builds but I'm afraid this home felt really dark and gloomy. Those windows were ridiculous. This house would make me depressed in a very short space of time.

looks like a horribly overbuilt elementary school. why do they need such a huge house. waste, waste, waste.

Waste of money - windows so small and low - lack of ocean view...

It seems more like a construction overachievement than a home success. The design is too familiar and the cost is absurd.

First, yep, I am negative. 1) over a mil for land that is water swamped? Which the cooperation that sold the property had a broken water main? REFUND for over a hundred thousand dollars better have been given. 2) paying over a mill for a mod home which did not protect said mod home? 3) Really water going throughout the home WILL not dry out for about 9 months after heating in the home. Thus, the floor might look okay now, but after moving in give it a year, and you're going to have to spend more money. At this point they are saying no problem. Go back in a year. THE ONLY positive are the fantastic people that bought the dream. :)

I really don't like it. It seems to be dark and the windows are too low.

They actually regretted many decisions they made with the build. So much money wasted and not even a view from the study. Very stupid
