PLEASE!!!! PLEASE GIVE US A FULL DOCUMENTARY ON THE MAKING OF THIS ALBUM!!!! One of my FAVORITE Things about your music is the ability to see the process you guys go through to create these Albums. You guys are one of the few bands that keep Album making relevant and worthy process in this bubble gum era of meme hits. THANK YOU GUYS!!!
Honestly, I echo Brann's sentiment about the album, but with all of Mastodon's albums. It's why they were in my car for so long, I'd just pop one in and listen to one from beginning to end. Hard to pick a favorite song, easier to pick a favorite album
I’ve been listening to Hushed and Grim while I drive for Lyft practically nonstop since it came out. It is by far my favorite Mastodon album, blowing the previous favorite, Crack the Skye, out of the water. I never skip around on the track listing either. It is one big piece. I’ve also had more passengers comment on how good it is than anything else I’ve ever listened to. It is their masterpiece.
Really?! I would have guessed the average Joe wouldn't immediately "get" Mastodon. Just curious, have you noticed any specific tracks that the uninitiated gravitate towards? "Teardrinker" maybe?
@@virion3270 one I remember specifically was someone saying “this is a really good song“ when Had it All was playing. I believe it’s because the vocals are just so fucking good across-the-board that nobody’s immediately turned off by it.
@@drosander000 I love that one too. Remember that band, "Fuel?" They did "Hemmorage (in my hands)" from the 90s? Troy's voice reminds me of that time period. Grungy ballads. I read a lot of reviewers say about that song, "Eh, it was a nice try." No, no. They *nailed that song. It's the first song off the album I learned on guitar. Makes me happy that even first-time listeners can hear the beauty immediately.
@@virion3270 as for Had it All, I didn’t immediately know it was Kim Thayil on lead guitar, and after I learned that, I listened again and thought “off course it’s Kim Thayil on lead guitar!”
Awesome album, masterpiece, grammy worth etc etc....nothing does justice to this album. Only thing that does do it justice? Listen to it, over and over and over again! I've listened to it every day since the release and still can't get enough of it!
Literally just feel in love with you guys all over again. 2007 era. Now I'm 30 and have a totally new appreciation for everything you guys do! It's astounding what you have all accomplished artistically. Immediately had to download this album along with Crack the Sky.
Incredible album. This album has sent me on a great tour of all your previous behind the scenes material, interviews etc. The music is phenomenal and it’s no wonder with all that work you have put in to it. Well done and thank you for your art!
My goodness this album!! I was listening to it early this morning again 😂😂 it's on constant rotation. Can't get enough of it. Spectacular job guys 👏👏👏👏
Peace and Tranquility is probably my favorite right now. Or More Than I Could Chew. Now that I think about it Teardrinker is really starting to grow on me. Can I say all of the above?
Album writing is just as important as song writing. If songs were the only art bands produce, they would only release singles. An album is like a film - the songs are just the scenes.
Great album, obviously. The only change I would have made to the sequencing is putting Skeleton of Splendor as the last track of Disc 1. Guys, I am available for consulting on the next record.
im glad ya dont like releasing singles cuz i cant stand gettin addicted to 1 song for 6 months before albulm release only to skip it once the albulm comes out cuz ive heard it too much.
Out of 15 songs, only 4 didn't connect with me... and even those songs have sections where I'm like, "Hang on, I love this part. Turn it up..." Not a single bad song on a 15-track double album?! Even Nine Inch Nails couldn't pull that off with The Fragile. "Skeleton of Splendor" is one of the best songs I've ever heard. The end of Brent's solo gave me chills the first time I heard it, and my eyes welled with tears. What else can you say? Second only to Crack the Skye. I love Leviathan of course but for where I am in my 37-year-old life, this is the album I needed right now.
This album has changed my entire view on the band in general. Listening to this has literally made all of their music better to me
Me too !
My favorite album of theirs by a longshot. Absolute masterpiece.
My favorite would be Emperor of sand but this is probably number two for me
@Minxa kuna 5 you're here too
Yes!
It's an instant classic. So damn good.
@@catchthirtythree Just report them. It's useless trying to talk to spambots, might even be counter-productive.
I agree with Brann about not listening to singles for the most part, but The Beast definitely stands on it's own for me
That is the difference in musicianship, like Pink Floyd you need to hear it at once.

This album really gets better after each song
This album is right up there with Crack the Skye. Amazing album!

This album is truly great, I have listened to it countless times (at least 20) and still I find new little things in the arrangements!
It's an experience from start to finish, but Savage Lands jumped out at me on my first listen and has stayed my firm favourite.
I’m loving all their albums scarcely have a favourite now and Hushed and Grim is on constant rotation now-along with the others
More than I could chew is my favorite with every other song on the album being a tie for close second. Masterpiece
Without a doubt the best thing they have done since CTS. Killer album all the way through, I can't stop listening to it!
Impossible to choose. It's a wonderful album from start to finish. 🤘
Absolutely their best album since Crack the Skye. Favourite song constantly changing
Thank you for this album, amazing record!
Sickle and Peace or Peace and Tranquility. Dope songs.
Incredible album. This album has sent me on a great tour of all your previous behind the scenes material, interviews etc. The music is phenomenal and it’s no wonder with all that work you have put in to it. Well done and thank you for your art!
I took 4 days vacation when this came out. I ate edibles, smoked great weed and drank some. Listened to it intently and had a a blast
Love this album
My goodness this album!! I was listening to it early this morning again 😂😂 it's on constant rotation. Can't get enough of it. Spectacular job guys 👏👏👏👏
Crack the skye is my 2nd favorite album behind this new one
Hell yeah man. It's an experience alright! Thanks for the hard work!
What is this?
What's your favourite Mastodon track and album?
Me: Yes
The way the album flows is pretty perfect. Kudos!
Gigantium, epic song to close the album, beautiful lyrics that speak to you and an awesome guitar solo at the end.
Thanks so much for this!!!
Been loving the new album... on repeat
Spectacular music ❤🤘🔥
Truly incredible album start to finish. It gets better every listen! 🤘
EOS was an amazing record. That's the one that takes me back to CTS as far as passion.
Listened to the whole album through in one sitting after I bought it. Goddamn had me in tears. It’s so amazing.
My favorite tracks are Teardrinker and Pain With An Anchor, ex aequo!
Seeing that art makes me want to buy the LP!!
I just love this band so much i can't even describe it.
The last 3 songs bring me to tears nearly every time I listen.
Yeah same. I nearly just melt during it.
"BIG BIG FEELINGS".... then end the video with that insane riff... Yes, definitely BIG BIG Feelings!
Another great album from the fellas. The tune "More Than I Could Chew"... Man that's one heck of a great tune!🤟🤟
Total banger of an album for sure! Beautifully Brutal!
ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE
Amazing album 🤍🤍
This album is really inspiring
So true !!!! All vibes I guess
Every member of Mastodon has a Mastodong.
Definitely my favorite since Crack the Skye!
These short videos are a fucking tease.
My favorites are Peace And Tranquility and Gobblers Of Dregs

"Every song is super epic."
They should use that line to promote the album.
His pin gives me life
Eyes of serpents is a masterpiece
The entire album is epic.
Hushed and Grim is a magnanimous album.
I agree
I like Mastodon.
Peace and Tranquility (still think fewer tracks and a shorter run-time would have made for a more powerful statement)
Great album, obviously. The only change I would have made to the sequencing is putting Skeleton of Splendor as the last track of Disc 1. Guys, I am available for consulting on the next record.
😂😂😂 me too
🤘😎🤘
Aw yeah
I can't click on these fast enough.
They were afraid that they would steal the show
MASTADON - MARAUDA FOR EVER 🤣🙌🏼
Love you guys but 90 seconds is a commercial, fingers crossed for the killer studio content you guys always bring .
Tell Brann Dailor that I love him.
Dagger is my favorite
Agreed on the Singles point. They are SOOO good when i hear them but when the album comes out i skip them. Would prefer a big drop all at once!!
ALBUM TOP TOP CULT master EPIC ALBUM 💯🎤
I reported like 10 pornographic comments on this video in a row (knowing that youtube doesn't care) - wtf is wrong with this world.
