Learn a smooth card control that has multiple applications. I discovered this on my own but I'm told it is similar to a Daniel Madison move. Enjoy and keep practicing.
I use the Straddle Pass reinvented by Jason England and it does almost the same job but it's great to learn this too since you can also keep the card palmed in your hand giving the illusion that you've done something to the cards and ask the spectators to look for their card and you reveal it. IMO this move could be used best if you use speech misdirection and act carelessly when inserting the card into the deck then leave the cards on the table, 30 seconds speech then without looking at the cards get back to them and give them a false triple cut (casually) then you're all set for the effect you can choose whatever you want. Very decent video I really like your tutorials one of the best CZcams channels.
+Zayd Great point. In a more natural performance (instead of a move demonstration) taking time after the card is palmed would be great. You could even give the deck to a spectator to shuffle.
+Magic And Cardistry I always thought that a pass was just a means of control but you may be correct. I've looked it up but its hard to find definitions of these things (for obvious reasons). Control would be a better term. Think I should change the name?
Maybe. if you want so. im not really sure about that if it is just swapping the halfs or can it be any control. And ive also seen a variation of the herrmann pass and it was called "Midnight Shift". and there are a lot of non-pass controls that are called "shifts" too. i mean, what is the difference? confusing , right?
Daniel Madison did not have such a move that's similar to this. Go watch Bill Goodwin's Triad, he used this side steal-ish move in one of the routine's variations.
i really like this idea keep going mate 😍
That's really cool!
Thank u for sharing !

great move
wow...thats pretty impressive
Ótimo controle
Have u even considered a Thumb Fan cover???? I think it would be awesome.
+Kendrick Massive Attack That should work. I'll try it when I get a chance. Thanks for the feedback.
chris rampas have one control called "the praxis control" That use a tenkai palm
you should use 2 acrylic blocks to show the movement of the diagonal jog and the tenkai
+Michael Avila I wish I had them. This is definitely the kind of move they would be perfect for.
This is actually a variation of the Arthur Finley shift
haha so it was Ten Kai. right? cool idea!!
This goes back a lot farther than Daniel Madison! Larry Jennings and even back to some things in Expert at the card table. And yes it's good.
But then its not a pass if you just move it to the top. Isnt a pass a move where you are supposed to switch places with the top and the bottom half?

+Magic And Cardistry Where is Jason England when we need him?
Maybe just call it "tk shift" ? :)
+Magic And Cardistry Thanks for the help. Will do.

Have you tried squeezing the card to the top?
+Jioduude Have not.
That is very similar to the DPS... And other things.
this is really similar to cherry control so its not completly original, but nice tutorial!
Not very similar to the cherry control. Has one similarity but the CC uses a strip palm and this is a steal
Tenkai steal
