I've been a Briggs engine guy for years on most of my equipment but I never cared for the Briggs on my Toro Recycler. I came across a Toro Suzuki 2 stroke engine years ago and had it stored in the garage. Two weeks ago I decided to swap the Briggs for the Suzuki and man what a difference. The Toro Suzuki 2 stroke is lighter and starts much easier. It's now my Fav mower. I also have another Toro mower with a Suzuki 4 stroke OHV motor which I used for over 25 years and still runs good, never had an issue. Thanks for the Vid. 😛
Those two-stroke engines definitely are a game changer seem to run nice and smooth start easy for the most part and have good amount of power.
Such creative videos you’ve on this channel. Just subscribed!
I hope this channel keep sharing great mower videos and keeps spreading happiness.
Thank you so much I'll definitely keep going :-) I'm actually going take a break on mowers for a little bit and start going after some pressure washers I think next
@@ils360how are you
@@jeremynguyen2346 good you?
@@ils360 good 👍
That white oblong device in the carb fuel well should simply be pulled out if it’s socket, then cleaned! Easy peasy!
Congratulations on creating more videos
Use Maguires ultra shine when done. It will make the paint and plastic look brand new!
Will (Toro part number 144-6377 traction assist handle kit) (for new Toro Time Master mowers) fit on new Toro AWD 21472 mower? Both have same mounting holes and baby carriage shape.
I have never seen a AWD push style mower before . Very cool !
Yeah definitely unique interested to see how it does while mowing the grass
@@ils360 For sure !
Yes they have four wheel drive mowers
I like his determination
@@gradyhernandez4699 yes I have one now...
It inspires me more and more.
☺️ I'm glad I could be of some inspiration to you
I wish my 86 F-250 looked that good lol. Can’t beat an idi.
We've definitely kept good care of this truck it's been in the family for a little over 20 years now. You definitely can't beat an IDI this one's non-turbo but still love it manual transmission too can't beat it. Thanks for commenting :-)
@@ils360 Wow that’s pretty awesome ! Mine is also non turbo but has a C6. No speed demon I’ll say that 🤣
@@TheDeafMechanic 😂 definitely no speed demon I mean it'll pull anything that you put behind them but they're not going to win any contests LOL
I purchased 2 toro awd last year the one needed blade valve adjustment a blade driver maintenance. Other very new condition but throttle plate came out of the carburetor engine blew the rod. Put a quantom on it
Don’t ask me what but I learn alot from your videos
That's how my wife feels whenever I tell/show her how to work on stuff too
Hey now 😂
Great video man! Nice truck I’ll put some big tires on it lol
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed :-) and yeah it's definitely a good truck some videos are coming up on it here soon. It's already got some bigger tires on it 😁
Thank you
Just in case you get ankther one of these, the center piece of the carb down pop out eith a small flat blade screwdriver. There are a few more jets that should be cleaned. Great find with the Toros! They are quick sellers!
Thank you for the heads up! Next time I clean one of the carburetors I will definitely add that to the video super not familiar with this style.
I love the view
They are both MM, 5/16 will fit 8mm
You can't judge how clean the oil is on the dipstick. Gotta dump it out. I have seen clean oil on the dipstick but once poured the oil is grey/black. Unless I changed it myself, then it's getting an oil change.
Oh I fully agree I will almost always change oil if I was not the last one to change the oil but I did pour most of the oil out of this mower and it was all very very clean 🤷🏼♂️ did the look, feel, smell test and it passed.
I know this is a old video but I was wondering what would you do if the string you pull has no tension? How would you check the auto choke feature to make sure or works?
The automatic choke is heat activated. If you pop the top cover off and the pull cover, the part that hooks into the muffler is hear activated. Stick a lighter to it, careful no fuel is near, and after a few seconds it should start moving on its own.
If the string has no tension you might be able to wind the mechanism back up though it may have a broken spring they can be repaired on some but most of the time it's better to just replace it if it can't be retentioned. As Tucker stated you can heat up the auto choke and watch it move if it doesn't move those parts are replaceable unless this is a different design that runs off of air from the flywheel but if it is one of these it should have a thermostat style that moves when its heated
Cool and informative video! I have one too but the self propel is not engaging anymore. How do you fix this? My fiance is currently outstation.
It may need an adjustment I actually have a video on my channel that I recently posted on how to adjust the personal pace on these mowers it's very easy and simple

@@ils360 Thank you!! I'll check the it out!
Might you be able to make a video that is specifically about cleaning the carb for this model? This is the ONLY video I can find online that includes cleaning the carb for this model, but the camera is too far away for me to see how to take it out. I can't figure out how to get it unstuck, and I don't want to break stuff.
I would love to put another video together specifically on the carburetor but the lawn mower has already sold. If I come across another for cheap I will definitely put a video together for you. It's definitely hard to see how the carburetor unclips from the linkages and it's kind of hard to explain other than there's a bit of an s-bend and you just have to turn the carb at 90° away from the rod and pull the rod through.
Just for your reference, there are a few people who do in depth videos of plastic briggs and stratton carb cleanings.
Giveaway 😍😍
Carburetor issue there among all that oil.
They're definitely was that's why it was pulled off and cleaned 😊👍
AWD, I've never seen anybody use one of those. Must be the Bugotti of 21" Toro's. I know when I see somebody use a FWD Toro that they have no idea how to buy a lawnmower and just bought the lowest price mower at the store. Then they end up paying for it for the next 15 years.
Neither have I I've never even seen anybody else kind of excited to try it out and see what it's like before I sell it if I sell it LOL yeah it seems like everybody always goes for the lowest cheapest that they can get in any year or two when it breaks they complain and buy the next cheapest one
@@ils360 After I bought a double blade HRX, 200cc, I can never go back to single blade. Now I can go more days in between cuts with no grass clumps everywhere in the lawn. Never bogs down in tall grass.
@@JasonJayJJ1 oh those hrx double blades are definitely awesome I've owned a couple of them and they absolutely kick but whether you're mulching or bagging cuts it up so fine that it bags so much more and mulches so much better
Just drain oil and gas and it’ll be ok
Are you talking before storing it or to get it running again?
I am stuck on watching these videos
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos
