Yes the cats are going. Will replace with high flow as they are original and its a straight through
2step will blow out high flow cats in no time as well. 2step is specified for catless only for very good reason.

the exhaust packing is basically wire wool that muffles the resonance. or sometimes its fiberglass packing on o.e.m setups
Holden (HSV) Monaro, also known as Vauxhall VXR and i think Pontiac GTO, its a 6 liter V8 same exact engine from the Chevy Corvette LS2, sounds like its got aftermarket exhaust and maybe aftermarket air intake. Yes they can shoot flames I have a Holden Commodore VX SS but with the smaller LS1 5.7 liter V8 and can pop 3-4 foot flames on demand

Vauxhall never made these, these are a Holden Monaro from Australia but with Chevy motors. They just got shipped to the US as Pontiac GTOs and the UK as Vauxhall with they respective international badges.

The vxr monaro is a great car but the vxr8 ls3 is my dream car. Trouble is 12 mpg, it would cost me £300 per week in fuel just to get to work and back. Doh..

HSV GTS-R W1....Most powerful ever made not In production anymore though. Limited build in Oz and runs a LS9 474kw very impressive car. Very quick on a track not just a straight line

That flame kit servers no purpose, and provides no performance gains whatsoever...
It's a pointless waste of money if you ask me, and a fire hazard on top of it!

I fully understand that it serves no purpose with regards to performance, and is purely for 'show', as Adam so rightly pointed out. It's just that I don't get why the act of revving the nuts of your car while doing irreparable damage to vital components such as the engine, exhaust etc. would appeal to someone - that's why I said that it was pretty much pointless in my opinion...

@@thispranksux7374 it's a flamer kit as to have 2 step you have to have a turbo or 2 & that monaro is naturally aspirated as you can hear know turbo spool just a naturally aspirated grumble from the v8
@@paulsoames7980 you do not need turbo for a launch controller, they simply hold revs at a given range when you have your foot flat, then when you launch is when step 2 of the controller comes into play
