i dont kno python only excel , can i excel?
Hi Vivian, if you are starting out, Python shouldn’t be a requirement. Focus on EXCEL, SQL and JUST 1 of any of the VISUALIZATION TOOLS (PowerBI, Tableau, Google Looker, AWS Quicksight). Notice i said JUST 1 of any of the Visualization tools.
With just these 3 you can excel, and with time, add python as you progress.

can I transition from data analyst to business analyst?
They are different fields. BAs don't typically do what a DA does. And vice versa. Now there will be employers that will mingle the two. Which keeps us confused.
Hi Vivian, a Business Analyst takes the reports and analysis done by the Data Analyst and makes actionable business insights (note the last 3 word). They are majorly at the Business Front-line
And yes, if that’s a career you want to go to that’s also good because your skills (technical/Soft Skills) as a Data Analyst would give you an upper hand, which is good as a Business Analyst
