Patty chops it up too much..... her singing to me always sounds like a confrontation and never on chill ....Aretha made it sultry and sexy like overhearing an intimate conversation.... she knew when to fall back ....her voice is just pure soul whether plain or pleasure and it didn't take much effort especially in her prime.
