Ok next you might want to try Kampung Baru to experience the Malay cuisine and culture. The Malays are the majoroty population of KL and Malaysia as a whole. Better if u go to Kampung Baru during night time because then only the area became super busy and lively

for chinatown you'll find more during the morning and afternoon. at night are mostly cloths or bags stuffs.
but usually the local Chinese wouldn't go to Chinatown for the best food.
they are actually more scattered around KL and throughout the whole of Malaysia, if you know where to find them ;) haha
can probably try this super duper long night market at Connaught every wednesday. famous for it's street food.
**ps tips: go empty stomach cause you won't even be prepared how long the night market actually is. no joke**

We loved a lot of the street food but we also loved the food court at the pavilion where there was a huge selection, the food was cheap and some of the stores for cooking fresh in front of you. The Chinatown in KL is a little bit of a bummer, partly because the whole KL and PJ are already a chinatown.. The one in Bangkok and Jakarta (Glodok Pecinan) are unstructured Chinatown (living and commercial area). The one in Singapore is the best. Culture center, food, commerce, temples and beautiful buildings.
Theres another little india in KL, near Masjid Jamek area. Starting from Leboh ampang all the way to Masjid India - Jalan Bonus.
Little Nepal is at Medan Pasar HSBC building area (only lively on weekend)
Little Pakistan is at Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, near the Damai Service Hospital (Chow Kit Monorail Station).. Lots of Pakistani food.
Little Jakarta is around Chow Kit area (Monorail Chow Kit)
Little Pattani (Southern Thai) is around Kampung Baru
Little Arab Town, is in Jalan Berangan, Bukit Bintang
Koreantown - Jalan Ampang Utama / One Ampang Avenue
Theres Bon Odori celebration (Japanese festival) on 16th of July in Shah alam - Panasonic Sports Complex Shah Alam. FREE shuttle bus service (10 buses) between KTM Shah Alam Station and the stadium will be provided. However the departure and arrival time of the buses are not synchronized with KTM train time schedule. Time: 16:0022:30 hrs. Super crowded expected 35,000 people will attend

Chinese food are found everywhere in malaysia. Not necessary at chinatown. Even Pudu area has chinese food courts. You should go there. It is behind lalaport or berjaya times square. A bit of walking though.
There are foodstalls in chinatown if you know what time to eat there and where. Mostly morning and lunch.
