This video helped me see more clearly how the connection point to that coolant hose to the left of the oil filter housing actually looks. Last night half of the spout where the hose connects literally broke away due to corrosion. I thought it was part of the actual engine framing, but now I can see more clearly from your video that it's some type of separate spout that bolts to the engine. (whew...what a relief). Much thanks! 👊🏼
@Gerald G -For the replacement, you can find a aluminum"spout" on Amazon for less than 20 dollars and you will not have that issue again.I just had the same problem 2 weeks ago
@@760sky9 Thank you so much! Yes, I’ve installed one and it’s working well!
Everything needs to be realistic replace. I have found that it's on going thing to work on bmws cars. This is my opinion.
Another great video! Interesting also to see how the engine is mounted in the engine bay.
Every other word is "guys"
Anyway u can help me with a oil leak. I’m in San Diego California. I’m a high school senior saving for college and I don’t have funds for oil leak fix. Anything would help 🙏

Where is the link to all the gaskets you guys said you’d post? There’s one I need.
I have a 2006 bmw530xi all the kind of places where it leaks at is not leaking I checked the crankshaft seal replaced it twice it is still leaking I believe up there I change the valve cover gasket I change the one buy the coolant oil filter 1 it's leaking summer in front I don't know where I did everything I could I believe it's still the front crankshaft seal what could cause the problem to leak I did the stupid glue it does not work please help
Fucking love you guys, save me so much stress
Have you had success using the Bapmic brand valve cover gasket? My past experiences have shown using oem or oe gaskets are only ones that hold up over time .
ive had this same gasket set on my car for 20kmiles and has not leaked i def recommend
I have oil that leaks in the middle of the car I have replaced the oil filter housing and cooler and still dripping
Have you replaced the valve cover gasket ? Also if you don’t use oem gaskets when doing these bmw jobs sometimes they will leak also it’s good practice to replace the bolts also, although the ones on oil filter and cooler are not aluminum ( torque to yield) i would still replace them. Also the torque specs on all the gaskets are very important over tight or under can cause leaks as well. Sometimes if you get your oil changed somewhere they spill oil and it appears you have a leak in the middle of engine. Also important to change all the o-rings in the oil filter housing as well with each oil change . If you car has high mileage 150-200k it’s good idea to replace oil filter cap . If you have the n52 silver top engine when replacing the valve cover gasket it’s absolutely necessary to replace the bolts on valve cover each time you pull it they are aluminum torque to yield an will break .
hi can you please help to share solution for bmw x1 2011 engine oil leak
Where are you guys located? State and City
Hey what is the metal box that coolant runs through on the bottom right of the car
What is the name of the part
My e90 335i leaks from every place that has oil or fluid...even the windshield washer canister is leaking. We have 2 Lexus with 300,000 miles and 180,000 miles on each. NO leaks. NONE. The RX330 with 300m miles starting to burn oil though. I'm a bit in shock why no leaks at all on the Lexus? But every BMW owner I know has oil leak problems with their cars.
Damm that's funny af 🤣
Get a used Japanese luxury car .. Your leak anxiety will disappear!
All bmws leak oil, you just have to replace most all gaskets every 100k
Hallo there... I have oil leak in the coolant....engine oil comes out in the reservoir is that the oil cooler ??? BMW 118d 2006.
It's the oil cooler gasket
Yes it’s the oil cooler gasket most likely, use a oe or oem gasket an use the correct torque values also would recommend replacing bolts just to be safe .
Big bottle of stop leak here I come. Fuck u BMW with ur leaky engines. And after it dies I'm going straight to a Toyota lmao
I just replaced the valve gasket and still leaking for somewhere behind the engine
im leaking on passenger side do u think its my gasket or cover or sum else
@@CruzVerdoza I Have The Same Problem Did You Find Out The Problem?
you sure you installed it correctly? did you put some silicone underneath the gasket so it won't move while installing?
