Studio owners - if you're looking to upgrade your recordings in a big way, check out this exclusive cymbal bundle from Sweetwater. Meinl let us assemble our dream team across their six Byzance lines, and this package is what we came up with. You get hi-hats that are crisp and controlled, crash cymbals that melt into a mix, and a ride cymbal that's the perfect blend of dry, pingy, and washy - especially under a mic. Not only is each cymbal in this Meinl Byzance set a blue ribbon winner on its own, but we chose each piece because of how it interacts with the others. We're also throwing in a free Byzance Trash Crash and some fun accessories to liven up your recordings.

you know what is even more important than having good cymbals? having a good drummer. that's why i prefer watching Nick review drum gear
Nick can literally sell anything. I’m sold. 😂 legend.
I think these are my favorite cymbals Nick’s reviewed
The ride is gorgeous, the crashes and the hihat are brilliant 👍🏻👌🏻
I've always been a Sabian guy and that's probably the only cymbal brand I will buy but these Meinls sound really good, especially that 18 crash.
The hihats , the trash crash and the 18 Crash do sound amazing 😉👍🏻
That snare though 🥁🔥
Absolutely gorgeous!
Nick I often wonder if you are related to Sal Mineo....... you are a phenomenal player, and your video demos are the BEST! Thanks and Blessings!!!
I don't even play meinl, I just enjoy these vids a whole lot
Forget the cymbals.. I'm here to watch Nick.. Killer groove
Those are sweet! I think I have found my new set lol!! Nice demo too!!
Nick is really cool, I like him so much
Such a good video. So freaking good and thorough.
Nice and relaxed playing so great
awesome playing!
all sounds very nice.
Good god Nick is a great drummer!
Nice cymbals but not cheap..
if you buy cheap, you will play cheap. Your sound will be cheap..
Scott Mendez i think he knows that, not every drummer has a fountain of money
@@JazzDunn1 then again, cheap cymbals arent always bad. have a look at zultan. they are brilliant
You can prob get at gear4music for cheaper but not jurrasticly cheaper
@@JazzDunn1 That's why drummers get sponsored by cymbal company to get it cheaper OR for free I forgot
This is about the only cymbal demo I've seen where the cymbals were hit correctly. But of course it's because it's Nick.
I love the funk-Prog intro
not funk prog but funk plo (funk koplo) 😉
GOt these cymbals. They are awesome!!!! Anyone know how to get the full track from the jam at the ending? Would be fun to get the drumless track or something similar to play on. TIA
Ma sei un grande!!😜
Not sure what he’s talkin about with the 22 inch dark raw bell ride. All the descriptions of the ride were pretty spot on besides when he said if u lay into the side it will open up as in having some sort of crashability. This ride has no crashability, it is definitly dry and very heavy so u won’t be getting any crashability. Obviously any ride will “open up” when u bash the side but he shouldn’t have said it opens up over the entire kit cause it definitly does not. In a rock/metal band setting , it is absolutely non existent but what makes this ride is the body or bow and of course the amazing sounding raw bell. The normal 22 inch dark ride has a lil more crashability over this one, the raw bell really dries out the rest of the cymbal. But most people aren’t too worried about crashability when getting this ride so it doesn’t matter but if that matters to some, I feel his description was misleading cause I’ve seen videos where people say a certain ride has crashability then when I buy it, it was definjtly disappointing. The 22 inch sand ride or the transition ride or the 22 inch traditional medium ride which has the bestttt crashability out of any ride I’ve played while still maintaining good stick definition and a nice cutting bell but all these have great crashability over the dark ride. But out of all dry cymbals with crashability not in mind, i prefer the 22 inch extra dry medium ride over this dark ride.
Andy Ham I have the 20” Dark Raw Bell Ride and it has little to no crashibility. If you really bash it you can get it to open up, but it’s weighted between medium and heavy and it’s lack of lathing really keep it controlled with very little wash. It has little to no flexibility and feels very rigid when bashing it. I have the 22” Jazz Big Apple Ride and that really does open up and wash beautifully when needed. I also have the Jazz 20” Tradition Light Ride and that starts washing out even while playing light sticking if you don’t control your playing. The Raw Bell Ride is the heaviest, driest and most pingy Ride I have, it’s a beautiful cymbal, maybe he had a very thin version of this model 🤷🏻♂️
can I buy this in Australia? cos these cymbals are fire!
Whats the drumheads used in snare, tom and floor tom? Thanks
cool
what is your still kit d ver gilio
If is Meinl trash crash, Is it look like Zildjian A custom efx?
Everything about this set of cymbals really works for me… except the hats. I’m not sure why either. Maybe because they sound a little trashier than I expected.
I dont care about the cymbals..what snare drum is that? I've been looking for that voice in my collection
Robert Davis, it’s the Yamaha recording custom aluminum snare 14/6.5
@@geauxvols ohh thanks for you info
is this a limited edition set?
Joseph Bricker it's not limited edition, just only available at Sweetwater
Not trying to be rude you can prob get it from gear4music but cheaper
You are promoting drums here. Why are the Drums in the mix so low in volume?? Can‘t hear it properly
Not sure about that. I think the video is on the Cymbals...
Bro the title literally says he's demoing cymbals, not the drums 😂
What size are the hats? Thanks
Braden Cutright-Head the regular 14"
+Tobias Heinzel thanks
Do u ship to India
18 sounds real good, 20 crashes sound too much like a ride.
not all of them! but I think maybe this one does.
Very superstitious indeed...
