That singing barn and watermelons are quite simply too cool for this world.
Hey what about the eggs! 🥚
Agreed!! Haha they brought me a much needed smile.
This is the single most delightfully homosexual thing I've seen in my entire life.
@SecretCommie the song is about a gay boy growing up "living like a good boy oughta" but he doesn't want to marry a girl and he's dreaming about a way to come out to his mom
Liar
Brian May was thinking, "God, would Freddy love this."
Yes! Lol
lol
MattMonk definatley
You made my day. Thank you.
True, but I get way more Elton vibes
This is one of the best rock performances of all time. The pageantry. The fucking SINGING BARN.
It's perfect.
I'd like to build a friend circle consisting exclusively of people who watch this video on the regular
Consider it done.

Please include me.
It’s 2022, and I still come back to this mind blowing performance again and again.
2023 😉do the same
It's my first time and I'm high AF to boot.
I'm French, and I love it this band, too bad they never came to France in concert 💓💗💖💝❣💟
This guy has an incredible voice
Fuck....yes.....
And body
The look on Brian May's face is priceless. One can only imagine what he was thinking.
I'm sure I had pants on when this video started
herbie0408 It's 2:30 AM and I'm in my underwear. Later today is my beloved's memorial wake and I cant sleep. I needed this bad.
Yeah my tshirt flew off a too
Even though it's 2 years after you left this comment, sending love and peace your way.
@@orangelion03 This is highly-belated but I hope life got back on track for you.
@@sirandrelefaedelinoge It has indeed Andre and thank you for your comment. New life, new love. Will never forget the one I lost, but life goes on.
Thank you Britain and Europe for seeing the brilliance in this band and their music because without that success they would have surely dissolved. They are American but too "fruity" for Americans but that doesn't mean they are NOT wonderful. They deserved the recognition and Thank God they got it.
NelsonClick Hey I'm American and I'd put this in my top 10 for sure. I'm burly and bearded, but this is some real music!
Britain's their spiritual home. Ana hosts a show on Radio 1 in the UK now I believe.
@✨fear fun✨ Thank you. There were a couple UK artists that couldn't get arrested in England that we adopted and made millionaires. I came from the 80s so there's Def Leppard, The Outfield (almost legendary) Billy Idol and couple others. In the 90s there was Bush who were so cool. UK and US tend to culturally pollinate each other. I think the issue with Scissor was not them but their audience. I'll be blunt and inappropriate and say that they attracted a creepy audience over here. Everywhere else in the world they attracted mainstream audiences which is where they belonged. I'll get hate for that so be it. Tired of being muzzled.
Americans have shitty taste in music in general. Like, we have country. Taste card permanently revoked.
@@Bunny-ch2ul Thank you for keeping us far away from you. I can only hope there's enough space on our planet for both of us.
I always love seeing Simon Pegg completely in awe at 1:07 and Brian May right after somehow in disbelieve what this is, but I think also having respect for what they do.
If you're ever having a bad day, I encourage you to watch this and then see how you feel. :)
This song bring pure joy to my ❤️ 😊
Whenever I'm feeling down I take a big dose of Scissor Sisters and wash it down with a glass of The B-52s. Works every time!
I come here when I need to farm some dopamine. Always hits the spot.
He has the voice, he has the moves, he has the body.
I'm a 64 yo straight white male who grew up on Zeppelin, Bowie and Floyd and I reckon this rocks. They look like they're having the time of their lives and it's hard not to love the joy! What a great live performance.
I'm 50 and just like you and this guy sounds AMAZING live !
😅
I think the best comment is Brian May's look - All right this not my story, but it is damn fun :)
And they area gay group! LOL! ;)
One of the best performances ever. The dancing eggs! Signing barn and watermelons! Grooving fence! And no to mention the wildly talented band. Makes me smile every time!!!
This song and this performance is just fooking fantastic. The song rocks, the dancing is tremendous, and the stage show is about the best ever. This is an A+ if I've ever seen one. I want to hug the eggs, the watermelons and the giant chicken. Scissor Sisters are so, so underrated.
I want to dance with the barn
If the barn as a back-up singer wasn't enough, the singing watermelons put it over the top!
lol - yeah! how come no-one thought of a singing barn before??!! ;-)
racketman2u I bookmarked this video. There is no way it won't bring your mood up!
Bradley Noneofyourbizz
I love the eggs
Those watermellons are hilarious
It's like watching The Muppet Show on acid
John Salisbury Lmfao
😂😂😂😂😂
On mushrooms too
The muppets think we're tame bro they're just holding back for our sake. I want a singing barn now.
All the puppets in this performance were made by the Henson Workshop btw.
Now THIS is fun. I’m a conservative, straight white guy, but this had my hopping around my bed at night at 1am, finding this video out of nowhere. These guys a good dancers! Catchy songs. The writers were the Bee Gee’s on some of this material, I’m sure that’s part of it.
This reminds me so much of Elton John in the early 70's.
Yes as well as T.Rex!
yes
"Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting".
GorgeousRoddyChrome, it's supposed to.
This reminds me so much of homosexuality...am I close ?
This is such a great performance, if you don't love it you are dead inside!
Absolutely!!! My thoughts precisely!!
Agreed
I love how about 20 minutes ago there were people in the comments being proud of being 'dead inside' where in the comments of a song that's so fun it's all about life 🙂
Or cold, hard and petrified.
Or it’s not to your taste..
First off this song is my happy place and it is so Elton to me. Anyone else?
I love how Simon Pegg's just wholeheartedly having a good time at 1:07.
Not to mention Brian May, clearly having happy memories of Freddy! ❤️
With Roger Taylor and Brian May (Queen) @1:07 enjoying the show and smiling is an EXTRA ADDED VALUE, just to confirm how Scissor Sisters are loved by so many! 😎😎😎
2010 versus 2023, and always having fun!
Love you Scissor Sisters, forever!
Melody Fox (aka the Princess of Rock)

2024,still loving the performance!!!❤❤❤
Ugh this is so iconic. I can'ttttt
YOU are so iconic 💓
omg Allie I love you!!! 💕
Queen x
Omg Allie 😳
I know right!
It's nice that the kids who missed 70s glam rock could have a revival band to help them experience it.
This looks like the greatest Eurovision performance of all time I love it
Its overstated, but this is easily the best live performance I've ever seen. Truly brilliant!
I come back to this video every time I want to see a full groundbreaking live performance. Because it IS played live.
I've just discovered this song about a week ago. I know, I'm sheltered. But man, I've got it on solid repeat. Great music.
If I had been in the audience for that performance I'd be smiling just like Brian May and Simon Pegg were.
I have to...and I mean HAVE to...see this once every couple of months. It always cheers me up. This is one of the happiest things ever staged.
This is performance is an absolutely complete throw back to the 1970's from the Elton John sounding arrangement to the TV variety show vibes to the Sid & Marty Kroft style puppets! I LOVE it! Five stars all the way!
I was lucky enough to see the Scissor Sisters at the House of Blues in New Orleans several years ago before they broke up. They are amazing and hate that they are no longer a group.
Singing Melons, dancing eggs, you just couldn't make this sh*t up.....Amazing!
2023 still raddest performance EVER
I miss these guys so much :(
C'mon Brian May, you know you like it.
He's sat there trying to remember what he took in the mens room, and if there is an antidote
He's smiling. I bet he's thinking of Freddie
Brian knows that without Freddie there wouldn't be Scissor Sisters ✨
Even this bonkers performance doesn't overshadow the fact what a brilliant pop song this is!!
Best performance at the Brits - which I never cared for, but this is the bollocks.
This is fun. Scissor Sisters, one of the best pop-rock band of the last ten years, are barely handling the chaos they themselves have created on stage. And that somehow ends up bringing out wonderful, free-spirited energy from the whole crew. When the energy on stage is this good, they really can do no wrong. A truly fantastic production. The simple lighting effect, done with taste and confidence, is also a plus. Love those wild, show-stealing watermelons with beady eyes:)
That flexible foam dancing barn is brilliant
In case any Brit was wondering, this is an accurate representation of the modern-day farms of the American countrysides.
Lol
Photographic realism... maybe actual footage
and you are a very funny man, Abbey. speaking from cow country upstate ny
Midwestern Ohio boy here... this is the truth.
Yes! I'm in Indiana come to my farm.
What an incredible moment at 2:10. The message in the lyrics combined with the background singers who all look different but sing the same posirivs message together in support of the young boy... jeeze it's so freakin' powerul!
"It's a struggle, livin' like a good boy oughta
In the summer, watchin' all the girls pass by.
When your mama, heard the way that you'd been talking
I tried to tell you, that all she'd wanna do is cry."
Can we all agree that Freddy would have at least have been invested and asked, "who are they?" after this performance?
What a performance!!!!! That was amnazing!!!!! I'm a metal head but not afraid to admit when I hear great music and that was absolutley incredible!!!!!!!!! Loved it!!!!!
1:35 I had never heard the sound of watermelons and I never thought they could sing. what a voice🥰😘
Wish they showed more of Simon Peggs reactions. He was loving it!
I first saw and heard them on a late night talk show. Can't remember which one. I said they are gonna be huge!!!! Sadly, though they are American they didn't reach any heights in America. I wonder how many people saw that performance, thought the same as I did, and then...foolishly didn't go out and buy their record to support them! Thank God England has embraced them. I still have hope that they'll get their recognition here in America. They deserve it.
Elton John must be pissed that he didn't write this song first. Haha
He did help out on "I don't Feel Like Dancing" though
Jake Reminds me of Malcolm McDowell here, i dont know why, i just see him like a happy Caligula doing whatever he wants on the stage, just amazing
Positive Music 'we Need That, definetly !
They're just a bunch of queens having the most fun in the world. WERK. I want to be them. x
Kira Louise I want to be Ana Matronic when I grow up. She's just so freaking fabulous.
That has to be one of the best stage scenes Ive ever seen. Even the watermelons are singing along. Love it!
This group is an absolutely blast
Absolutely Magnificent in every way !
@The Brits..
WOW
First time I saw this all them years ago, I remember I was transfixed by Jake Shears in his jaw-dropping costume and by the end of the performance I realised I am 100% a raging homosexual...
As a flaming pansexual l approve this message.
Jake shears has that effect on people
Jacks body has that effect!
Hahahahah x
How did your gf take the news?
Bringing it just like a ex go-go dancer should. LOVE IT.
This band saved me through my closeted teenage times!
This song was so fun, the lead singer amazingly likeable.
This performance is nothing short of a miracle. Love it!
i remember when i first saw this, i thought it was so adorable. Jake's outfit is smashing.
Who needs acid when you have Scissor Sisters?
Fair enough.
Why it took me so many years to discover this? Best performance ever made!
Jake shears is unparalleled in being unbelievably hot while not taking his own hotness seriously at all which of course only makes him hotter. What a gift to the world ❤️
You know you got a good show. When everybody's jaw is on the floor.
The kid is brilliant - moves, personality and what a voice. This video is special. Amazing!!!
one of the trippiest performances i have seen
Its just so awesome to see that all the comments are positive and talking about what really matters :) Such a WOW performance!
Total gnar. A band before their time.
This performance is one of the most entertaining things I've ever experienced 💯💯👏
I'm so eternally grateful I got to see them live Before they broke up. Ive been to a lot of concerts, but this was the the funnest ive ever been to. I really hope they start playing again
I love this performance, makes me so happy.
EXACTLY its the single and most important reason to like them
I AM SORRY.............THAT WAS AWESOME....
Props to everyone involved in putting this performance together👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Everything about this is FABULOUS 😻..... The Scissor Sisters are Glam Rock Stars. Fucking adore them 🤩
I am a dead head and this is such a great jam!
I can remember watching this on TV all those years ago, brilliant performance and song, love it, looks like they're in Fraggle Rock, so cool
Kept waiting for H.R. Pufnstuf to come out on stage with Sigmund the Sea Monster, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Witchiepoo - those of us who know the aforementioned names are the luckiest generation. Shout out to the Sid and Marty Kroft influence here 🙏
Whatever anyone says, this is straight rock and roll baby
It’s a great song. That’s all that matters. The fact they’re absolutely mad is just a bonus
Brits occasionally put things out there that are a lil over the top. LUV IT!
We all need some singing watermelons in our lives at the minute and a bit of pre-Covid glitz and glamour!. First time seeing this...usually I don't watch anything post 2000 of the Brits as music wasn't as good as it was when "I were a kid"...but this performance is top notch!. Up there with the best of the 80's/90's legends.
How about singing lemon? czcams.com/video/2lCuBxgGzKA/video.html
This is entertainment at its finest.
This is seriously one of the best performances I've ever seen. Amazing!
Impressive!!! Where imagination and good music went???????? Please Scissor Sisters come back!!!!!!
Love to see them do "Heart of glass"
Yes thank you. From 2020
This brought to mind Lulu's "Take Your Mama For a Ride" (1974), especially when Jake/Jason sings about New Orleans, as Lulu was big in the Crescent City with that song. Do love the Scissor Sisters still - CHEERS - DAVEDJ
This is the best perfomance I've ever seen. OMG it's marvelous!!!
When rock n roll renewed itself
Why is it that they seem so British??? Awesome!
Party anthem every party
That was fuxking legendary!!
That quick shot of Brian May at the start. I like to think he was imagining Freddie in the middle of it all.
The Wiggles and Sir Elton had a bunch of babies. Love them.
I'm glad they're really into their own music :-)) good energy... good song :-)
Scissor Sisters are phenomenal. Their music is great, their performances are fun, and Del Marquis is hot. They're one of my favorite groups along with Three Dog Night, CC&R, BeeGees. Really miss them.
This concert is so freaking cute I love it
