OK, FINALLY. Here is a video where someone actually made a fairly decent hi hat/shaker sound with the Opal. I have been trying to do this since I bought Opal, with little success. I was using the Dust engine, but hopefully with what I'll be able to see here from the settings he's using, I'll have better luck. Thanks for putting this up!

Hola Tony, muchas gracias por tu video. En relación a él, ¿sabes si es posible automatizar de alguna manera, parámetros de Opal que no aparecen en la lista de automatizaciones cuando cargas Opal en Ableton Live?. Por ejemplo, ¿una variación del Mod Depth?

Lamentablemente, eso no es posible en la versión completa de Opal. La idea es que use el secuenciador incorporado para este propósito. Sin embargo, puede hacer un MIDI mapping de parámetros como Mod Depth en los instrumentos individuales que vienen con Opal, que no tienen el secuenciador.

Sí, efectivamente, había notado las dos cosas, y si bien ya he hecho automatizaciones con midi mapping en los instrumentos individuales, me parecía genial poder hacerlo también en la versión completa de Opal. Si bien con su secuenciador y la función "Lock", se pueden hacer modulaciones interesantes, hecho de menos poder hacer automatizaciones que permitan la variación de parámetros no solo en una interpretación Live, si no que también para grabar y reproducir después como Midi, y no solo como audio. Does anyone have a problem loading a sample into slate? I get no wave form, only the name above the sample slot changes. Cannot play it and the program does not react to having put the sample in

Do you mean record automation? It doesn’t do that because of the way it was designed; the sequencer is there to automate parameters in the full version of Opal. The individual devices do allow for some parameter automation in Live.
