- V- Shape expander is a removable Hawley expander to expand the v shaped maxilla so it will help in expanding the front section of the maxilla
For any questions please let me know in the comments or write me a direct message
Usually 1 turn per week is enough for most cases, could be more or less depends on patient age and case severity
Each turn provide 0.25 mm of expansion so 4 turns gives 1 mm of expansion

hey i have a question, what type of palate expander should i get if my palate is too small for my tongue and one side is asymmetrical? (my left teeth section and lower jaw) my teeth looks like U shape but the ends go outwards and the front teeth section is semi narrow.
and also my tongue when i put it on the palate, almost all the tongue touches half of the teeth
the right section of my teeth doesnt touch teeths like the left one (the asymmetrical one)
Hey you say for mse but mse give parallel expansion. My upper palate is v shaped , posterior Is wide while anterior is narrow . If i expand with mse. Posterior will overlap , what should I do? I am 20
The braces wire will control the arch shape at the end
Can this fix my overbite and crossbite as well in the front teeth
Depends
At what age should it be given and what are instructions to the patient for its activation?
After 7 years, 1 or 2 turns per week, keep it for 30 minutes in salty water every day
@@BracesTV thank you sir 🙏🏻 keep blessing us with your videos and knowledge.
@@neharoxx1 sure, my pleasure
Sir will it working for 24 yrs old person?
Yes but it will be dental expansion only, for adults we can use MSE for skeletal expansion which is more preferred
Thank you sir for information 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@nishagoswami915 welcome
I do have a v-shape palate(very narrow one). But the thing is I don't have bite problems. Top teeth perfectly overlap lower teeth. Most dentists i visited said there is need for expansion. But the last dentist I visited recommended Hawley retainer with screws. If upper jaw expansion happens does the lower jaw expand on its own. By the way I am 22 years old
Hawley gives only dental expansion
For you better to apply MSE for sure
