I LOVE how Graham is so genuine and LISTENS.
He truly one of a kind host and "interviewer". The ability Graham has to make essentially every guest comfortable and at ease is unmatched. He doesn't talk over or interrupt. And I've BINGED his shows.
100 percent agree! He is my favorite host ever. There are SO many hosts who you can see in their heads they are already thinking of the next question and are not bothered with the answer to the current one. Graham reads the room. It`s more then an agenda or just a list of bulletpoints to get trough he really CONNECTS. And that makes for the BEST interviews!
Is RANDOMLY using CAPITALS more or less EFFECTIVE than misplaced quotation "MARKS"?
I've read loads of autobiographies but Graham Nortons "so" is a my favourite by far. He comes across so likable in it which is a rarity as I usually find myself really disliking celebrities after reading their books.
Kelsey Prosser excellent observations. I enjoy Graham so much.
I've BONGED his shows
I always hated when Andy Warhol used to drop over uninvited too.
Whilst I'm doing heavy amounts of cocaine with John Lennon.
Yeah him and that camera, so obtrusive đ
Plus I could never get him to leave, even when all the drugs were finished heâd still linger around looking gormless.
Kevin Berger j
Yeah last time he showed up he recorded me like the creep he is! Said it's for a " screen test " and it''ll be an
exploration of glamor and the gaze or whatever. I was like Andy take a snooze will ya
I would love to hear his Freddie Mercury stories!
Thereâs a few in his book and theyâre absolutely hilarious.
I wouldn't!
@@andrewlilley3660 Ha ha. Im with you. Twister and Wesson oil.
@@Swizzenator Sounds scrumptious
Apparently they had pet names for each other that were their drag personas, and Freddie gifted him something that Elton got after his death, and Freddie had wrote a note for him and apparently it moved Elton to tears.
Elton looks like a nice warm grandma
That's because he is a grandma.
Lmao
@@patriciakatz7866 yes but also no
@@minetwine3204 Folks are cross border in their sexuality. It fits to be called a Bubby at his age. (Yiddish for grandma)
He's actually a ice cold moron in real life
"he's always got a bloody camera with him" imagine if Lennon could see today.
BarebackBarbarians FC Haha! đ€Łđ Search CZcams for Dana Carvey doing his âPaul McCartney rings John Lennon in the Afterlifeâ bit. You will not be disappointed.
Thatâs what photographers do lol
Considering the fact he always has a camera with him, he must of been a loyal friend, because surely there would of been footage of his wild nights in Studio 54, parties and the Factory with all the biggest stars doing drugs but they were never released.
Bloody hell!
You never hear anyone say "I wish I had a camera" these days.
Never challenge a Queen to see who can throw shade - Elton clocked Rod S. hair perfectly calling it Dusty Springfield in a nightmare đ
The library was closed hunty
I always liked Elton John. Tremendous pianist. Its so nice to hear someone who's famous speak about a fellow musician with so much warmth as he did when talking about Rod Stewart.
Get Elton to talk about Madonna, hes not so nice then
They arent talking right now!
And that clip of him reading Rod like a book! Watch the Pet Shop Boys video of "What Have I Done To Deserve This?" It features Dusty Springfield from around that same time and his comment was spot on.
I totally misread the âtremendous pianistâ part. Iâm such a child đ€Ș

Why am I not surprised?
I danced with Elton at Oil Can Harry's in Studio City, CA back in the early '70s. He was there with Bernie just hanging out. What a great guy!
was he off his head on coke?
@@rahulkemp8347 No; I think this was before his heavy coke addiction. He was kind of low key and a bit shy actually.
wow - that's amazing. I love Elton
Iâve been there! So fun
He started doing coke heavy in the late 70s early 80s like everybody else, at the earliest ide say 1979 the early 70s he was just breaking thru and didn't get introduced to the vices of LA yet but by the 80s everybody was doing it and since he was with Lennon before he died in what 1980? Ide say that's prolly when he started heavily using it
Elton is a honest guy makes his interviews very real
He sure does! I met him while he was playing a concert in Pittsburgh years ago! Great man!!

Sir Elton is one of the biggest influences in modern music since the 70s

@Wally Banter lol "Yes he is stop being mean or I'll tell Mummy"

I would never trust anyone with a Sir in front of their name!
I've seen Elton in concert twice. My God he's phenomenal!!! Wish I could see him on his current tour!
I've always had great respect for this man. He's so real and humble.
Nancy Demoss, You're 100% correct! đââ€
@@standingelton6375 I used to work security years ago. Out of all the musicians and entertainers that ever came to the arena, Elton John was probably the kindest person I met working there. I will love this man for the rest of my life đ
Graham is the best talk show host and interviewer, actually listens and asks great questions without interpreting
Back in the 80âs I saw Elton every time he came through on tour, at least half a dozen times. Then saw him in â94 with Billy Joel. Amazing concert.
Wow, two icons with so many great songs providing a soundtrack to one's life. That must have been incredible.
Certainly they did a song or two together at the end?
@Kim thanks so much for all the love and care
Rod Stewart and Elton John aka Phyllis and Sharon.
ALL Elton John's fans should read his book 'ME' - it's fantastic.

I love Elton John. My 18 yr old daughter brought me to see his farewell tour - Best Birthday Ever!
I am so jealous!
I like how Graham has grown old with dignity, and not resorted to dyeing his hair all shades of fake brown. Good on him for staying true, and he looks cool for it! Respect!
@Michael Myers lol how so? Most people his age plump for awful dye jobs which he has eschewed? Why does he lack dignity?
A true musical Legend.
I love Grahamâs jacket!!
Right? He wins that one.
Best line from Rod Stewart to Elton was when Elton was set to marry Renata. Came in the form of a card....
"While you're still standing, the rest of us are on the floor"...đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I'm definitely an Elton John fan! I've seen him twice and his talent blew me away!!
I'm Still Standing was my anthem to get me through a really bad time in my life. (Thank you, Elton!!!) I used to be glued to my TV on Saturday nights. TBS played some videos and this song usually got played.â€ïžđđąđ€âčïž
Mr. Elton John, Thank You Sir for all the wonderful music that has pulled me through the bad times. I always use to think our time had no Mozartâs or Beethovenâs and then I thought,,,,,,,,we have Elton, I Thank God for making you and all youâve given us!!!
Graham laughs at every story which is so refreshing

This is such an amazing interview!
Wait, Billy Joel fell asleep while playing Piano Man? In Madison Square Garden? I felt the rotation of the earth stop for a second or two there.

I highly recommend ME by Elton John. Very personable and honest. So much respect for Sir Elton
EJâs voice is lower but still clear-not raspy like some 70s stars
stvp68 He has David to thank for that. Truly, having a partner who actively involves in rehabilitating has worked wonders for Elton.
But he seems to have some kind of a lisp he did not have before - a result of some dental work maybe?
his voice is lower not because of David he had surgery on this throat in i think it was in (1987) it was cause of years of drugs and everything he put into his body that he was forced to have surgery.he no longer sadly can sing Falsetto cause of that

what a mad wonderful life Elton John had

Elton John always refreshingly blunt, as was John Lennon so easy to see them off chops together. Credit to Norton for being easygoing enough for ole Reg to open up.
I read Rod Stewart's autobiography and he is hilarious and also talks a lot about the banter between him and Elton. Fun guys!
