I had to long press the keyboard icon at the bottom left of the screen then select my preffered language. Now it works. Thank you

Looking for other settings, I stumbled across the answer. Under samsung keyboard (in settings), select Swipe, touch, and feedback, then select Touch and hold space bar, set to Voice input.

This only works with samsung voice for me. If I use google voice typing I get a keyboard on the bottom left I need to press and then select google voice typing on order to start this.
Doesnt appear on the texting keyboard. Wtf?
You gotta enable the samsung one then enable the Google one then it will appear. I had the same issue
