South Korea's history is full hardships, but their society has always been persistent!
Also, that clip of the cat closing the door killed me!

Nice vid! I liked the concise summary of the war with North Korea, really the border change and monstrosities was pretty much all that occurred. Thanks for covering all these sad but important parts of history, I love your positive attitude in hoping each country has a better future! :)

One thing to point out is that while an armistice was signed in 1953, ending armed hostilities, the Korean War is technically still going. There have been some border skirmishes since 1953, but the war is a "frozen conflict" and North and South are still at war with each other

Good Video! One thing you forgot to mention is the People's Republic of Korea existing between 1945-1948. Hence the reason North Korea is called the Democratic People's Republic of Korea instead of People's Republic of Korea like their neighbor People's Republic of China. I don't blame you since basically all history channels overlook this and I myself only found it a few years ago on a random wikipedia article. Otherwise, Great Work!

All people and cultures had slaves. But most of the time, they were treated as people. Sure, low-level people and animals at times, but at least they were living beings. European slavery after industrialization and capitalism was on another level. Black slaves working in American farms were nothing more than disposable objects, just literal auto-farming machines. There's a reason people say it was bad, just because you're ignorant it doesn't make them idiots.

These territories in Goguryeo, Goryeo, Silla, and Baekje Balhae are fake.
This is what Chinese and Japanese scholars argue. In this link, there is a person who really talks about Korean history www.youtube.com/@booksbogo Most of the Korean names are in Chinese territory
