  • Today, I'm taking you with me to learn all about eye movements at the Functional Neurology Center. You will learn from Dr. Jeremy Schmoe as he uses my testing as an example to explain many issues that he sees with concussion/TBI patients.
👀 VNG (Videonystagmography) Goggles is a way to test involuntary eye movements, and are useful in diagnosing and treating issues related to brain injury and concussions. This sort of testing can help to determine the root cause of many symptoms.

Cristabelle, I can’t believe I’m just watching this 4 months later. I knew you had gone up to visit this clinic, but didn’t realize how incredibly helpful it would be for where I am in my journey of rehab. Thank you so much for being vulnerable in sharing this part of your journey. You’ve given me great insight of what I need to search out more. God bless you and Dr. Schmoe! Sure wish I lived closer to MN to see him personally.

Your video is almost exactly my VNG experience at my local functional neurologist. Still no relief for me though 💔 glad I found your channel, thank you for sharing your story. No one truly understands unless they experience it.

    Yes need neurologist!
Asked but now more confident less confused.
Many misdiagnosed but not understanding why I struggled.
    More when overstimulated of distressed.
    Thank you
    Grana

Thank you so much for this video! I have had 4 concussions. This last one gave me a different type of experience with eyes. I can relate to you so well. It’s not fun.

This was awesome video and it's not often discussion of that type of injury areas but that's where my i not seen any Dr that addressednjury with left temporal lobe that surgery to remove hematoma but clot left wasn't operable but not seen any Dr address these issues either and hope new neurologist will be good wnd dread it so because if I get good Dr they retire soon after and then rest isn't worth wasted strain to lose time to visit and especially those that act as it's not anything but hypochondriac or any other reasons that gets no concern and my BP wasn't anything but no meds written by Dr or they not provide services to treat levels that was stroke range for 3years and just got them last December and now stable with bp and seizure meds but hopes I get this kind and it's crucial but for us TBI Survivors to live life with most we can get and not many help life of survival a good thing at all and by their newest attitude that's smarter than those thru history and this young Dr was shocker and appreciate his info and yours as well. Thanks for sharing.
