  • Spoiler alert: there’s more than “just rest”! This week Dr. Mark Heisig helps us to understand some of the new research on what can help concussion patients to improve. It's a comprehensive look at what you can do metabolically to prime your brain to heal. Key takeaway: it's important to take a full picture look when someone has a concussion, and creating a targeted treatment plan, rather than just ignoring the symptoms and hoping they go away.
This will be helpful if you (or your loved one) are in the acute stages, or if you have been living with post-concussion symptoms for some time. There is hope, and there is help!

It took me 13-15 days to be told I didn't need help. When I tried to get help anyway I was made to wait almost a year.

What if you were never seen after a concussion?

I want to listen. The titles of your podcasts sound great.
    But.
    I have A TBI!
Too many words. Talking on and on. Not clear enunciation. I want to be able to "get it". But it's too much.
I am glad you have recovered or had minor TBI and are ok. Consider talking with folks who have had worse injuries. And need bite size pieces.
Some editing could make a world of difference.
Thank you for doing what you do, or are attempting to do.
Some simplification and gearing this more for WHO YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH, you might grow your following. My head hurts. But I wanted to write this out to you.
    🙏

Try going into the settings on the video...go to olay back speed. You can click on that and slow it down.

Same here. I had to slow it down to .75.
