- Jerry and Linda were fortunate to be invited to the world premiere of the movie "Skydiving Over Sixty." Director Bob Compton and world record holder Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld were in attendance at the Old Mill Playhouse for the event. We marveled at the skill and daring of the skydivers as they attempted to break the world record for a freefall formation. You'll meet Dan, the star of the event as he chats with the Newcomers. The movie will air on PBS in April of 2025.

I have a classmate friend, he's 72 and skydives. I'm too much of a chicken but he's been doing it for years. Interesting video.
My daughter surprised me last year to sky dive for my 60th Birthday! It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. I felt safer doing that than driving on some of the highways! Can’t wait to jump again! My daughter will never do it again😎

It’s been such fun watching Linda’s metamorphosis from a timid little caterpillar emerging from her cocoon into a n amazing social butterfly. Jerry, she’s giving you a run for your money. It’s a great race, but not a competition.

Cool. I would never jump out of an airplane but glad there are brave people like that.
Thanks for the video! I would never jump out of a perfectly good plane - there would be my nail marks on the outside of the plane. But I have friends who love the sport and continue to jump even in their 70's.

I have Acrophobia- the fear of heights. I also have Arachnophobia- the fear of spiders. The only way I'd jump out of a plane is if there was a spider on board.

Dan Brodsky Chenfield also organized an event in response to the Oct 7 massacre called Skydivers Against Hate. 51 skydivers, only 5 of which were Jewish, formed a Star of David in the sky. You can find the video by googling "Skydivers Against Hate." This event was held just days before Dan was scheduled for shoulder surgery. Remarkable!

Some people love that falling feeling. I am not one of them, not even in my youth. In my dreams I fly planes, but they look curiously like Fisher Price toys. Better than the blue denim horses I used to ride, I guess. The mind is a strange thing. Boy, the trailer gave me goosebumps when they all jumped from the planes. The sound of a heartbeat in the background. Cool beans.
