- What is the Pattaya to Bangkok train like?
- What do you see on the Khlong Saen Seap express boat? (Oh... and please note that you buy the tickets on the boat. You have to tell them where you want to go and you'll be charged accordingly. If you can't pronounce the ferry terminal, just show them the name using maps on your phone. We forgot to mention this in the video.)

Enjoying your commentary Charles and Penelope's video editing. Love the Ferryride and local scenery. So glad you saw Jim Thompson's house. Jim was passionate about Thai silk and rat culture and with keeping it alive. There is a store, I've been told, that sells last of lines etc for heaps less than the prices at his house. Such a restful place in the centre of Bangkok.
It was a great experience going on the guided tour of his house. It was truly beautiful and great to have it explained by a lovely sweet tour guide. As for the shop, the prices were eye watering so the possibility of a outlet store would allow the middle class to afford to purchase something.

Charles seems a bit extra grumpy. While it's not Karen's cup of tea, this sort of adventure is right up my alley. I enjoy things not always going to plan as those are the times I remember due to all the associated zaniness.
It was kind of fun but it really was about the two and a half hours waiting for the train next to a busy road. Once the train arrived it was fun .....mind you I love trains so unless it's standing room only I am always happy on a train.

Yes ..... but I would arrive 10 mins before the train departure not 2.5 hours.
