A useful video, but there is a flaw. He makes a tray with the damp-course that he then bends upwards and sits flush with the inside of the aluminium frame. So far so good, but...how does that work given that the timber reveal is wider than the aluminium frame?

I ran into same issue. Cut 2 x slots in the bottom of the reveal to allow the back edge of the sill tray flashing to slot up into the cut.
I can't quite read the dimensions at 5:44 minutes. Can you post a higher resolution shot or advise the red coloured dimensions please?

Maybe not. You might need wall frame and door opening prepared first.
