A useful video, but there is a flaw. He makes a tray with the damp-course that he then bends upwards and sits flush with the inside of the aluminium frame. So far so good, but...how does that work given that the timber reveal is wider than the aluminium frame?

A and L windows have inline reveals and ask for the frame opening to be +30mm in height and + 20mm in width. There should be 15mm clearance over the top of window or reveal if using offset reveals to the head trimmer or lintel. So A and L would require around 15mm packing under the window. I have had chippies complain about the +30mm in height as they have sat the window directly on the sill with minimal packing. The complaint is the the gap over top of window is large but this is straight from A and L. The window schedule nominates the frame opening size vs the window size. I would like to know people's thoughts on this.
