- The vehicle in this video is a 2007 Toyota Camry the ABS module & Master cylinder was replaced causing air to enter the brake system.
If you own a Toyota/Lexus hybrid vehicle and you end up getting air in your brake system or do anything that involves the rear brakes and you cannot bleed the rear brakes hopefully this video can be of use to you.
My man said a Toyota Civc Hybrid! I WANT ONE!
😭
And all this time I thought they just wasn't working is because they were, "black".
😄 Just joshin'. Thank for the video mayn! Just figured this one out today!
Leave it to the brothus to save yo bear ass.
Thank you! You just saved my day
Could I do this job without a scan tool now that I know the steps
Are you able to tell me where to start bleeding first on a 2012 Toyota venza ? Fwd
@@datboitrucking assuming you don’t have to use a scan tool start at the rear passenger side, then goto rear driver side. Then front passenger and finally front driver side
Did you have to have someone press on the brake pedal while bleeding both sides of the rear? Or can you just use the hand pump to do it
Yes
I compressed the front right brake cylinder just a little and got vsc system check
i just bought that scan tool it will be here ina couple of days did 4 rotors and brakes traction light abs brake light is on dash looks like a christmas tree car stops fine i jacked the right rear up and hit the brakes and the wheel keeps turning but the brakes are stiff and right at the top.i wonder if i could do the steps without opening the bleeders because i know there's no air in the system i just need the calipers to push out
How did your brake job turn out. Does yours have the electric parking brake? If so, Did you have to put power to the electric parking brake actuator before pushing down your piston on the caliper?
believe it or not i took it to my old garage i worked at and borrowed their snap on computer and just reset the computer and it was all good so far other crappy scan tool wouldn't
do anything @@jamesbroomfield7799
Do I need a scan tool to those brake bleeding?
Yes, a “bi-directional” scan tool to be specific
A 2007 toyota / civic hybrid?
I know😩 I wanted to cut that out so bad😭
@@ultimatediyguy395 it might be better to remove that video and make a new one. I stopped watching it after that because it made me feel like you didn't even know what you were working on.
@@jamessmoth8683 o ok I’m sorry to hear that
@@ultimatediyguy395 Yup, I stopped watching it too at this point
What model is the scanner you have?.
Foxwell NT650 Elite
Thanks, man. Do you have to get a separate cable that plugs into the car?, or just the one that comes with the tool?.
@@CecilBrown1620 just the one that comes with the tool
I want to buy a toyota civic they were only made in 2007 😂
😭
Ok I did it all also I bought the same scanner and now brakes are working properly but I can erase the vsc lights… do you know what may be wrong?
I can’t erase *
Can I ask you a question, when did the light come on? Like what lead to you needing to bleed the brakes? And was the VSC light on before you bleed the brakes?
Ultimate DIY Guy hi, thank you for answering, I had to change the ABS pump system so after that I bleed brakes following your video but lights are still there, I don’t know what to do now
@@daniellacruz5666 hmm does the ABS activate when you drive? Like do you feel the pedal pushing back at you?see if the scan tool can pull the codes for the light record the trouble codes if any then clear the codes out.
Typically the VSC works off of your ABS sensors by simply driving the car it’ll usually go away. If that doesn’t work you can also try to reset it. With the car in park hold the Traction button for several seconds until you see the “TRAC OFF” & “VSC OFF” lights come on that means the systems are turned off. Then simply press the button to reengaged it. If none of those work you may have a bigger problem and may need to take it to get serviced. I hope this helps
Ultimate DIY Guy No ABS has not been activated at any time, c1345 (linear solenoid valve offset learning undone) is the code
You talk about all the code stuff, but you don’t actually show how to bleed the brakes.
With the exception of the ABS motor turning on you bleed the brakes normally. But good point I will make a separate video showing how to bleed brakes using the 2 man method
dude what is this video lol
I know the beginning gets everybody with the “Toyota civic”. This wasn’t one of those videos I was super prepared for but you can’t bleed the Toyota hybrid brakes normally if you read the intro you’ll understand why I made the video
@@ultimatediyguy395 please keep the video up. Thanks.
Soon as i heard that toyota makes a civic. I stopped watching.
I’m still new to this, I get nervous sometimes when I’m recording and make mistakes
@@ultimatediyguy395 my bad. I probably would’ve felt the same
Toyota hybrid not civic
