The scanner used in this video: amzn.to/2G6wc1f
Check vehicle coverage from official Autel website:
    pro.autel.com/measurecar-1-1.html?m=4
Email the seller if you're still not sure if it will work with your car:
    www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=1&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=A3L4EDVWFFTZOB&tab=&vasStoreID=
*The official statement from Autel is the MxiCheck DOES still support auto bleed. Please be sure to update your scanner to software version 5.07 directly from the Autel website.*
    Chat log:
Hi! How can we help you today?11:43 AM
One of us will be with you right away, please wait.11:46 AM
Me: Hello, can you please verify either way if Autel recently removed the "auto bleed" from the Autel MaxiCheck Pro ?11:46 AM
The ABS brake bleed function is currently only offered on the MX808. The maxicheck pro software has not had brake bleeding for several years11:49 AM
Me: Yes it has. I bought one in Feb of this year and I have auto bled my 2006 GMC truck no problem. I even made a youtube video about it and have probably sold 3 or 4 hundred scanners as a result of my youtube video and I have only recently has commenters say that Autel has recently removed this function. What is the true story here?11:51 AM
Me: Are you the same TECH person who takes incoming phone calls? Should I call you?11:53 AM
I am not on Tech support calls, but I was just trying to find more information on this.12:02 PM
Me: I need some sort of official comment from Autel so when I make an updated youtube video about this topic I can give the viewers accurate information. I'm really wondering why the price of the MaxiCheck Pro has went from $175, to $248 in 8 months, but you also removed the most important feature from the device12:05 PM
Me: I am going to make a new updated youtube video about this topic and I plan to include this chat transcript in the video so please treat this chat as if you are commenting to 80 thousand people, or more.12:10 PM
Me: Are you still there?12:16 PM
Yes, I am still awaiting confirmation for this function inquiry .12:18 PM
Me: Well, its more than a standard function inquiry, I'm looking for a comment on why the price has went up $75 in 8 months all while removing important functions. Your company is free to price their products however they want, but the public is also free to decide which products they spend their money on. I just want my viewers to have accurate information so they can make good buying decisions.12:23 PM
Can you please confirm the system software version for your tool?12:28 PM
Me: Lol, it's a maxicheck pro. I updated it from your website when I bought it in Feb of 2018. Whatever software you had on your site in Feb of 2018 is the version I currently have.12:32 PM
In order to correctly verify an issue, we need to know what software you have. Our updates are released constantly, so if you have not updated since February, you may have old software.12:36 PM
Me: Yes I do have old software from Feb 2018. I am NOT having any problems with my scanner. My scanner performs the auto bleed just fine. Your NEW maxiCheck Pro scanners do NOT do auto bleed according the people commenting on my youtube video recently.12:38 PM
Me: This is my youtube video:12:39 PM
Me: Sorry, this is my video: czcams.com/video/fUqmBqYIEAE/video.html It has over 80 thousand views in 8 months. watch it and then tell me why the new version of this same tool (MaxiCheck Pro) is NOT able to do the same.12:41 PM
*I would highly recommend you update and verify for yourself. For this request my supervisor pulled a brand new unit and fully updated this tool to the latest version, 5.07. We went through it together and Automated bleeding is still available.12:45 PM*
*I want to apologize for any confusion, but my initial statement that is not available was incorrect.12:46 PM*
Me: My video has over 1100 (one thousand, one hundred) comments with MANY people thanking me for the info. Many have said they bought the tool after watching my video and they were able to finally fix their brakes. It wasn’t until the last few days that I have now had people tell me the MaxiCheck Pro no longer performs the auto bleed. People have also told me they have talked on the phone with Autel Tech and the tech department has confirmed the auto bleed function was recently removed...... but yet the price has gone up$75.12:47 PM
*Please confirm the tools are all updated properly to version 5.07. If not , there may be some differences12:48 PM*
Me: Again, I DO NOT NEED AN UPDATE. My scanner works JUST FINE. It's the viewers of my video who are being told by YOUR TECH department that this function has been removed.12:49 PM
*Our technicians have been informed as well12:52 PM*
*that this function is indeed supported12:52 PM*
Me: If you read the most current comment under my video from yesterday, there is a guy who talked with your tech department and was told this function has been removed from the maxicheck. He did a full update from your site yesterday and it still does not work for him. When was this option re-added back to the software?12:54 PM
*The software version 5.07 was released in May12:54 PM*
*Please make sure these users are updating tools correctly12:55 PM*
*Maxicheck pro should update via SD card with new Maxi PC suite program.12:55 PM*
*If update is perform with USB, or with older Autel update program, they may experience software issues12:56 PM*
*Me: Okay. Please be sure ALL tech guys who answer your phone calls, or reply to on-line chats know about this. I have told EVERYONE the first thing to do is a full update from your website.12:56 PM*
Me: I am going to post this chat log in the video description below my youtube video. I will also include this chat log in the first "pinned" comment in the comment section. CZcams does not allow me to edit the video itself. I will do my best to get this information out to the public, please be sure you do your part on your end.12:57 PM
Me: I hope the information you gave me today is accurate, there are a lot of viewers looking for correct information.12:59 PM

Great video, I couldn't help make a comment even though it's old news now. It's funny to me how hung up on the price people get. Not only could it be being sold at different prices by different sellers, especially on Amazon, like you said. Prices fluctuate! Get over it people. Secondly, either your car needs and has "auto bleed" function or it doesn't. If the car computer, like you have said numerous times, doesn't have the function then it can't be activated. So either your car needs this function and it can be done as most manuals will tell you or the car doesn't have this function which means there is another way to go about getting air out of the ABS, ie. normal manual bleeding on "open" systems.

My man. You are the freaking GOAT for this video. I have a 2000 z71 tahoe and needed to get the brake lines done. The shops around me were quoting me $4,000+ for this job. I’m dead serious. So I said fck it. I’m not a potato and have done similar work before so let’s go. Ordered all the parts from rock auto, did all the install, etc and for the love of all things holy could not get the brakes to bleed. Had no idea about the Kelsey Haynes abs module. Did hours of research online. Tried bleeding the nipple on the module, etc. couldn’t get NOTHING going. Finally decided to bite the bullet on ordering a tool. Spent hours watching videos and found yours at like 1:30am on a Tuesday. Bought the tool that night.
I literally just went out to the truck 20 mins ago and tried it. Fucking PERFECTLY bled the abs. I HAVE PEDAL NOW. I CAN BLEED THEM NOW. THANK YOU MY GUYYYYYYY
This just made a $4000 estimate job be a $1250 job with parts, beer and this tool. You are a LIFESAVER my guy.

Walter Daly check if master cylinder piston is coming all the way to return against circlip. I had a Ford f350 front brakes dragged . Dirt rust had prevented piston from returning which opens small hole for fluid to escape when hot . Brakes would get hot and apply them selves after replacing hoses calipers etc.

Thank you so much for this video. Back in February my wife's 2000 4 door 4wd blazer blew out the left rear caliper piston seal. The blazer is in such nice shape and all the brake components were old. I went all out and ordered 4 (2 front and 2 rear) calipers, pads, flex brake lines, and slotted and drilled rotors with a black corrosion coating on them. Really good quality not Chinese made in Canada 4 rotors and ceramic pads for $126 shipped to my door. Long story but I replaced everything. I couldn't get anything out of the rear calipers. I tried power bleeding, ect. I ordered the Autel Maxicheck Pro. I got it last week and updated the software and I kept getting an error open circuit when trying to autobleed. My son has a 2002 blazer almost the same. I noticed the his has a 60amp maxi fuse for the ABS and hers is missing. Just got it last year and always had the ABS light on. I put in a new fuse and now it will autobleed. I now have rear brakes that I have not since February and all lights are off on the dash. I tried it on my son's 2002 and it works great too. Thanks again!!

After watching this video I ordered the Autel to use on a 2008 Silverado that had air in the ABS module (my fault). For the 2007-2014 the process is a little different, each wheel is done separately, and the brake pedal has to be pumped "rapidly" during the cycle on each wheel with the bleeder valve open. My helper was pumping the brakes while I was under the truck, pumping in time with the ABS cycle, with poor results (a series of small bubbles). I ran another cycle and had him pump the brake pedal as fast as he could, and that cleared the air out of the ABS (we still had to bleed the air out of the lines after the cycle finished).

I wish I would have seen this video earlier because I took my 2008 Toyota Tacoma to Les Schwab & they told me I would need a new master cylinder so they replaced it charging me 340.00 for the master cylinder plus labor to put it in. I get a call later on saying that my truck is all done & they say the pedal is firm now & I was relieved that they were able to fix it even though I don’t believe the master cylinder was bad I just believe there was trapped air in the abs module. Long story short I was very disappointed with them because the pedal was not firm when I went to go pick it up it would still go to the floor. I had them bleed the brakes again & still that didn’t fix it so they told me only other option would be to change the abs module for a new one. They said they couldn’t say that it would be a for sure thing that it would fix the problem. I left paying for just the master cylinder & still to this day my truck has been sitting because it feels unsafe to drive. I’m glad I seen this video so I will get that tool & fix it myself like I do pretty much all the time anyways I don’t trust repair shops.

It really does suck when a "professional" repair shop is so incompetent that making a propper repair is above their ability.... and they still expect to be paid. lol. Keep in mind this video is almost 6 years old at this point. A lot has changed in the scan tool world since this video was recorded. You can probably get a different scan tool for roughly the same money as the tool in this video, but with a LOT more features and functions. Even a scan tool that will work with your smart device. One place to start is.... Look at the XTOOl A30M. It's roughly the same money as the tool in this video but it's basically a pro level full bidirectional control scan tool. however --u are supposed to “
push and hold” steady pressure on brake with foot- as far as u can get it to the ground.. and it’ll sound louder- the pressure will push out them bubbles and the like of old brake fluid.. might as well use a turkey Baster to pull out of master cylinder reservoir ( if not the best color) and allow that bleed to flush while refilling with the new brake fluid along with the intended air to get out the same end- them go tighten that bleed screw..I know it stated it was complete- though I feel it could of been a better or competent bleed.. good job tho!! Good Morning Brianok100,
I do want to get back to you regarding my dilemma with the Autel Maxi Check Scanner, and Auto Bleeding the ABS Module on my Silverado, and Trailblazer.
After our communication, I did engage with the Tech Department at Autel, and confirmed that the Autel Unit does come from the factory, without good information to work with, and with their direction, I found the Maxi_PC_Suite_V1.21.zip, which I downloaded, and updated the memory card that came with the new unit.
This morning, after connecting the unit to my Silverado, it did come up with good menu options to link to my specific vehicle, which it did, and to my surprise, their were DTC's stored in the computer, that were not detected with another scanner that I have been using. Once clearing those DTC's, the rest of the operation was per your video presentation, and now, after clearing things up in my head, the dilemma with Spongy Brakes, which did not get corrected by the GMC Dealer that I had paid $$$ to bleed my system, a few months back, has now been resolved.
The good part here, is that after spending the $$$ for the Autel Scanner, I still have it to use later, verses the $$$ that I spent at the GMC Dealer, that is gone.
To be complete, let me add that, once successful with my Silverado, I performed the same exercises with my Trailblazer, and now both vehicles have Good, Solid, Brake Pedals.
Thanks again for your followups, and hopefully, this added info from my experiences will help future lookers.
    Dave

One other thing to keep in mind is that once you run the auto bleed process, you should still manually bleed the air bubbles out of the brake lines. The auto bleed only moves the trapped air bubbles out of the ABS module and into the brake lines. Those bubbles still need to be bled traditionally from the system.

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage Před 4 lety +2

Thank you..... but keep in mind, the auto bleed process does NOT replace manual bleeding. It is simply a way to get trapped air out of the ABS module, which can remain stuck there during the traditional bleeding process. To properly remove all air from the brake system, you'll still need to manual bleed after the auto bleed. In my case, I did it several times but I also used a Motive power bleeder. It went like this: traditional bleed (or power bleed) as much as possible to get 99% of air out of system, then run a few auto bleed cycles with Maxicheck, then manual (or power) bleed again and keep an eye on bubbles leaving the bleeders, then run another cycle or two of auto bleed, then manual bleed, etc, etc..... do this until no more air bubbles leave the bleeders. Good luck and thanks for the comment.

I did not upgrade the software, but will try that next and try again. Phone call to Autel prior to purchase said it supported my model year truck.
